A very friendly and personable atmosphere. It was clean and inviting as well. Close to home plus the price was right!!

Turners Rock is a very nice facility. Lots of activities, very nice restaurant, a wonderful rooftop area where you can sit outside and enjoy the day or evening and a great happy hour. The apartments are nice and the place is spotless. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the residents we spoke with love this place. Highly recommend for your loved one.

[Name removed] was very helpful and provided a virtual tour for me to see the facility (as I am located out-of-state). I was able to see some of the common areas and the rooftop garden, as well as a studio apartment and a 1 bedroom apartment. [Name removed] was very patient and answered all of my questions. I will provide ratings below based on my limited ability to see the details on a virtual tour, but my overall impression is that it is a very nice and well-run facility.

[Name Removed] was our tour guide and was very courteous and professional. First thing we did is sit down with her and she answered all my questions. Then we took a tour of the facility and were greeted by friendly employees at every stop. We then looked at one of the two bedroom units and we were very impressed with the layout and amenities. Afterwards we had lunch in the dining room. Jennifer left my wife and I alone so that we could discuss our visit and impressions. We made it clear to [Name removed] that at this time we are researching Independent Living facilities and that we’re not ready to move. However, Merrill Gardens is high on our list

My mother had the opportunity to move into Turners Rock Senior Living into a studio apartment two months ago. From day one and the very beginning of her time at Turners, mom embraced the community and set out on a mission to meet residents, staff and to become involved in daily activities within the community. She’s used her wheeled walker to take herself to activities such as exercise class, bingo, bocce ball and of course down to the restaurant for meals. In addition to all the wonderful amenities offered at Turners to the residents, mom also absolutely loves the staff! She knows everyone’s names and they in return know hers. They greet her with a warm and friendly smile as they call her by name. It’s the personal connections, the genuineness and true compassion from all at Turners that has made my mom’s first two months some of the most rewarding in our/her opinion. Mom is happy and thriving! What more could a family want for their loved one in their elder years?! Thank you Turners!

5 stars across the board! The staff the amazing! They are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond. The facility is very clean and the food is delicious with many options. I also like that there are plenty of activities for all to participate.

Very impressive. This felt like home from start to finish. Warm and welcoming community. All questions were answered during our tour. Mom would be safe here and enjoy this community.

Very nice property. Pleasant surrounding. Clean. Very friendly staff, and residents were very positive about living there.

All 5s except food is a 4. It is very difficult job to please everybody all the time especially with vast array of what people eat. The complex's landscaping and layout is well maintained and easy to move about in. The employees are friendly. The care provider is flexible and its people compassionate.

Merrill Gardens was very welcoming, my sister was at ease and found her niche there immediately.

My dad really loved it there, he moved out in February, just met a lady and they had other plans! He especially loved the food and the staff! Hopefully if he needs too he can go back there!

I wonder give them a 5 in all the categories. I'm very pleased that I selected Merrill Gardens. I like the staff, the food, and I've met some very nice residents. I'm also getting excellent rehab for my balance issue, which is very much appreciated. Also, the staff, who cleans my room, is very good. I would definitely recommend Merrill Gardens at Barkley Place as a place to live.

We were greeted warmly. We had lunch in the dining room; there are tables for 4. Two residents sat down with us and engaged in pleasant conversation with us. They were not happy about needing to be in assisted living, but they felt that the staff is kind and caring. Cleaning staff does a good job, and concerns they have are appropriately addressed. The food was good, with limited salt and sugar. There were multiple options for each course, and residents can choose to have meals delivered to their apartments. We toured a studio and an occupied one-bedroom; everything was clean and orderly. The activities offered are varied and interesting; transportation is free to shops and activities within a 10 mile radius. Residents can have pets and drive cars.

They are caring and loving they are just going through some staff changing right now. That's why they didn't get five on those questions as far as activities. My father-in-law really hasn't joined into any of them. It's just who he is. [name removed], the director that just left, [name removed] and [name removed] at the front desk and even [name removed] Maintenance were all very kind. I could tell they truly cared and did the best they could. Just for full disclosure we have moved [name removed] into a different facility mainly because it was bigger and they had more staff available. Otherwise we would not have moved him.

The facility was great. Everything about our experience was positive. The staff was so caring and professional. We would highly recommend Truewood.

I found that everything on balance is pretty good. The facility, the staff, especially the personal care that my mother receives from Saving Grace. It's also a lot of value for the money in that you cost a lot less than everybody else, including other Merrill properties.
