The Truewood team has been wonderful - friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful from the start. We were truly impressed with how well kept and inviting the community is. The pricing was affordable and includes 3 meals a day, cable, some transportation and a wide variety of activities, which really adds to the value. So far, my sister absolutely loves living here. It's comforting to know she's happy, engaged and well cared for. Highly recommend!!! My sister is still very very happy here.

I have been coming to Turners Rock for over 4 years now and I come to visit friends and dine with friends. I also now really enjoy volunteering with the activities department and love working with the people that I volunteer with at Turners Rock. The residents here have so many opportunities to get great care, great food and meet new friends.

Our knitting group has had the fabulous opportunity to meet in the Sky Lounge at Merrill Gardens at Wright Park. The facility is beautiful. The staff are warm and friendly. The Sky Lounge has a stunning view of Commencement Bay! Located in the heart of Stadium District the location is outstanding. If you are looking for yourself or a loved one you need to check this place out.

My sister was in Assisted Living and is currently in the Memory Care Unit at Mission Ridge. The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. The staff are great. My sister has been through a journey and everyone has been so kind to her through her latest transition to Memory Care. I would highly recommend Mission Ridge.

Turners Rock is an amazing place!! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It truly feels like coming home. The atmosphere and activities can not be beat!! I love volunteering at the Happy Hour. We have a great crew. The residents tell us living here is like living on a cruise ship. I could not agree more and I highly recommend.

The staff and the care given here at Turners Rock is top notch. It feels like home for most of them. The food and activities keep all of the residents engaged. Its the place to be. I volunteer weekly here because my mom used to live here and I really enjoy coming back into the community to see all these friendly faces.

I visit 2 friends there regularly and both have nothing but positive comments on the staff and the facility. My experience has been very positive as I support my friends. Everyone is willing to go the extra mile with all of the residents and it makes a difference. The facility appears to be very clean and the staff are all very supportive.

After being my husband's full-time caregiver for several years, I knew a change in lifestyle was imminent. I moved to Merrill Gardens at Wright Park to have the security and comfort of knowing others were nearby. Following my husband’s passing in 2025, I chose to stay. The staff here are genuinely kind, helpful, and caring. The food and dining staff are exceptional during daily dining, holiday buffets, and special events. Additionally, the building is beautiful and well-maintained by patient maintenance and housekeeping teams. The water and mountain views, along with the sunrises and sunsets, are stunning. Wright Park, located just across the street, offers safe walking and entertaining events through the Tacoma Parks Department. Whether you are looking for independent living, assisted living, or memory care, Merrill Gardens at Wright Park does not disappoint.

Merrill Gardens at Wright Park is a top-notch facility where you can trust your loved ones to be cared for. I moved my mother in 18 months ago and both of us have been nothing but happy. The building is beautiful and clean. It doesn't have a shade of 'old-folks-home'. The staff as well as residents are all so nice. I think they like being there too! The food is great and they even have an amazing, roof top sky terrace where extended family can gather by reservation. I recommend it to all my friends whose parents may be approaching need for assistance but want to live independently.

Overall experience would be five stars. I gave a five because every person here is very nice. The people here I enjoy. They're all very pleasant, they say good morning even when they didn't even know me and they still don't know me, but they know me by my dog. The staff is very good and take care of any issues I have in a timely manner. Activities I haven't done too many of those yet because I'm still trying to unpack my boxes. Although I did go to the barbecue here on Third of July and that was great. The food was excellent. The activities were great and everyone seemed to have a good time, including myself. The food is good what I have had so far but I have only been over there a few times. The cleanliness is good. I have seen more cat or dog poop around that I didn't see when I first got here. In fact I didn't see any. I felt confident to take my dog out, who I pick up his poop all the time and dispose of it, but I never worried about stepping on somebody else's poop after going around this property a number of times. But now I see that and I don't know it could be the cats. I don't know But now I have to use a flashlight at night time so I don't step on some poop and during the day I have to be much more aware. The last place I lived at it started out that people would really pick up their poops and stuff and then of course it was a place that had a lot of marines and a lot of people renting and a lot of people going And nobody paid attention to what the management said or I won't say nobody but a lot of people and that was very disturbing and a lot of people were complaining about it. The cleanliness of the buildings and my Villa here is pretty good. My apartment is very good and I can't speak for anybody else, but Mary does a good job. I did have some problems with some bugs and I will report that to the office and I started to look at possibly moving into a different apartment And even considered a apartment with a porch, but I really can't afford that and I really like the people from my villa and we sit outside and chitchat and chitchat with people that go by and and so forth out on the end where there is a roof over piece of it so we go out there with our chairs and talk in the day in the evening whenever I also have made friends with a gal in the Next fell over in 25 and one and 23 the one and 23 comes over and sits with the people from my villa and the one from 25 I just got to know and she has a lot of number of issues. I can't remember she broke her foot or something and she's very nice person. Very nice so I talked to her if she's out when I take Cooper out and then we go around the property The whole property and we do that like three times a day and we stop and talk with the people from my villa. But it makes life more livable, more enjoyable, and peaceful. I really can't say a lot of bad things about it or even negative things because they're really aren't. Everybody is willing to help you if you want it And that's the people that live here staff or whoever. So I'm very happy to be here for many reasons.

My parents moved to Merrill Gardens nearly three years ago. It’s been a good move. This is a place where it’s easy to have those small but important interactions and make friends. I enjoy talking with residents and staff, and it’s clear staff cares about and enjoys working with an older population. I appreciate the nice variety of activities on offer and know that my parents take advantage of them. I like the residence’s neighborly feel thanks to the many comfortable seating areas. The building is set up for accessibility. A recent injury put my mother in a wheelchair for several months, and I gained greater appreciation for the set-up. Apartments have wide hallways, good bathroom layouts and kitchen seating which easily accommodate wheelchairs. The location is terrific – there’s a wonderful park, grocery store, pet store, bank, drugstore and more within a block. Several churches are close as well, and it’s convenient to have medical offices nearby.

In Spring 2025, I visited my older sister from my home in Virginia. It was obvious by the missed medical appointments, unopened mail, unanswered professional and personal phone calls, forgotten bills, etc, that she could no longer live by herself in the spacious one-level, three bedroom house she had owned for 50 years. Fortunately, my sister agreed with me and visited four CCRCs in the greater Tacoma, WA, area. Merrill Gardens at Wright Park clearly impressed us the most from top to bottom with its friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive staff and employees; my sister became a resident in September. Upon moving into MGWP, the Community Director, his assistant, and the Staff made very effort to integrate my sister into the community and even provided me updates after I had returned to VA. In July 2026, I re-visited my sister and got an immediate update by the Community Relations Asst. Clearly my sister is very contented and her lifestyle is healthier. Thank you, MGWP!

We moved Mom into a studio apartment at Merrill Gardens Wright Park (MGWP) under assisted living in [Date Removed]. One of the important features for us is that MGWP has an amazing memory care program, as we weren’t sure how quickly Mom’s Alzheimer’s would progress and when she might need that additional level of care. It turns out it happened more quickly than expected, and the wonderful staff at MGWP helped us seamlessly transition Mom from her studio apartment on the 3rd floor into her private apartment in Garden House (the memory care unit). I can’t say enough nice things about everyone at MGWP, from the dedicated Garden House staff that help Mom stay as independent possible (Montessori style) while also making sure she stays safe, to the “cruise directors” of the whole facility, Peter and Patty who know everyone’s name and are always around to answer questions or offer a hug of support. Thank you so much!! P.S. Make sure to grab lunch at the MGWP restaurant when you visit.

Wonderful place for my parents! The sense of community is overwhelmingly positive. Residents and staff are very friendly and treat each other with upmost respect. On our initial visit here the guide of the tour kept saying, this will be home. It certainly is. Excellent meals with choices and very, very clean.The activities director makes every day enjoyable with activities for a variety of interests. So many times when I call them, they are too busy to talk! Happy my parents are here.Highly recommend Turner's Rock!

My mom loves everything about the place and has only been there a month! I give them all 6's. My mom has been down sizing for about six years this was her fourth move, this is her smallest place a studio apartment. She feels safe and comfortable I think this last move has improved her overall mood. She was living in a one bedroom apartment in Los Alamos and I believe it was getting hard for her to do everyday activities. Her daily schedule has changed for the best bed early up early three meals a day she loves the food and company at meal times. She has been to a craft glass and had a wonderful time and is looking forward to the next one. She text me just this morning and told me she is going to the cocktail hour today .

We looked at several places in the area before we came to Turners Rock. We decided to move into the new Villas called Turners Pointe and by far this is the best place to live for us. Great staff and great food. The activities are outstanding. You just won't find a better place in Springfield Mo to live, if you have to move out of your home.

I love Turners Rock because the people who work here are always kind and extremely patient with all of us who live here. I have lived here almost 2 year and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I just love it and the people.

I believe I am the oldest resident here in this building. My granddaughter and her husband thought I would do well living here. His grandmother lives here as well and they all have really nice things to say about this place. I just love it. Everyone is so very nice. I love my apartment, the food and have no complaints

From the first time I toured the beautiful facility, I knew this is where I wanted to live. The floor plan for my one bedroom apartment is well thought out and meets all of my needs for safety and accessibility. Management was easy to work with and provided valuable resource recommendations and processes for an stress-free move. I enjoy many of the activities that are offered-- craft workshops, movies and movie discussions, book club, and a weekly happy hour with live music to name a few. The Sky Lounge on the top floor provides a beautiful setting with stunning views, a great space to entertain guests. Across the street is Wright Park with many walking paths! The dining room always has good menu options. If I want to venture out for food, there's grocery store and several restaurants nearby. Moving to Merrill Gardens provides me the level of comfort, ease, safety, and accessibility to activities that I need at this time of my life. I'm thankful to be a resident!
