Brookdale

The atmosphere and the staff won me over. I think the cost of assisted living is absolutely ridiculous especially for people that worked hard their entire lives and make too much money to qualify for help but not enough pay for assisted living to where family members are having to pay for the overages of cost to keep her in an environment where my mother can thrive.

We never stayed there. My father in law could not get in because of his needs. He passed on [date removed]. We had payed for a room and fees $[removed] and they gave it all back. They were not obligated to do this but told us from an ethical standpoint it was the right thing to do. They were awesome thru the whole process

I picked them because they were quick to offer help. And yes I would recommend.

As far as I know, it's a great place. My father chose it for the value, the yards, everything is on one floor.

My brother-in-law, [name removed]. is a resident here and he is very happy with the entire staff, the attention he gets, and the excellent food! I visit him frequently and the staff is friendly and communicative, easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable in senior care!

Seems to be a good place for active seniors. We picked thic community because it was close to Upland, where our loved has been for over 35 years. A Place for Mom services are truly a gift ! [name removed] was amazing and I so appreciated being walked through the process by her to find [name removed] a place that he can call home .

I would like to add a comment about [name removed] that works for your company. She has always gone above and beyond in helping us place Mom when we have needed it. The compassion and care she has always shown us will always stand out to me.

I can't rate number 4 as I'm in. Independent living. There are a lot of activities and outings to accommodate almost any interests. You can stay as busy as you want to be.

My father has been here for 5 years and it's been a really good place for him. The staff is very nice, courteous and helpful. There is lots of activities for everyone to get involved. The food has been very good. It's nice that they allow family to come and have a meal for a nominal fee. Due to my father's age, he requires assistance getting showers, shaving, getting dressed, etc. The staff has always been very helpful in these areas. I'm glad he's here and I hope he can continue to stay at Brookdale. It's working out very well for him and our family.

[name removed] at Dowlen Oaks is probably one of the kindest human beings I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting to know. Backstory: My mother in law had a massive heart attack five years ago. The hospital wouldn’t release her to my father in laws care so my spouse and I had no choice to pack up and come home. One night I sent out for information on assisted living/ aged care and [name removed] called the very next day to make contact. We decided, however, to keep mom and dad at home as long as we could. Let me tell you, this woman would call and check up on me periodically through this five years. Not to pressure me into a sale but to just inquire about how I was and how everything at home was. [name removed] is a blessing, there’s never been a kinder human being I’ve ever met.

We moved mom and dad in. They are always playing all sorts of games and having activities. They didn't want to leave with me because they were right in the middle of a game. We are so happy we chose Brookdale. Great Place To Be!

We moved our mom into Brookdale a few weeks ago. She just needed a little more help. She has met so many friends and everybody looks out for each other. The staff is so helpful. We could not be more pleased.

We met [name removed] and she was incredible! Also [name removed]! It seems like an great place for my stepmother to be. The residents seemed busy and happy; the place was located in a great area, and several staff are veteran workers-- long tenured!

My mom tells me they take to long to prepare and the portions are too small. She tells me they must their activities director and haven't replaced her after several weeks Brookdale was the first and only facility we visited and jumped on it because of the cleanliness and friendly staff. It's expensive but I understand it isn't out of line with similar facilities. They sprigs make sure they all goes Osteen rates are increased and whether there are any incentive plans available such as VA discounts, etc. We learned about that after the fact but we got it resolved quickly with them. Overall we are very pleased with them....especially [name removed] their sales person. he seems to be everywhere. I would highly recommend this Brookdale facility, for sure.

I recommend Brookdale in Williamsburg because the staff is very friendly and helpful to me (family) and to my father. Even when they were short staffed, as was EVERYWHERE, they made sure communication was clear and things happened that needed to. Staff smiles! They have so many varied activities every day for people with all interests and independence levels. They have terrific in house care when care or support is needed "at home" to maintain your independent living level. Food is yummy and so many fresh healthy options daily. Brookdale staff have helpful information and recommendations for moving in companies that know the place so well, you can sit back and it's done. There is a heated outdoor pool , and lots of outdoor space. Parking for visitors is better than many places I've seen. I am not familiar with their memory care or assisted living sections, but it is nice to know the options are there if needed. Brookdale is clean, they put in the extra touches so things always look nice. The administration is kind, so people feel good. And my father or I can always reach someone with any questions. They know the residents, they know their mission!

I am rating the way I see it - I am so glad that this facility was available for my dad. The faculty have all been very friendly. My dad enjoys playing cribbage and the activities director has been trying to find other residents who also play.

My mother moved to Brookdale from another Assisted Living Community in Lubbock where she had lived for over 3 years. It has just been 3 weeks since she moved in, but the staff has been wonderful, and she seems so much happier here. The room is much bigger than she had before, and half the price. We would Very much recommend Brookdale to others.

The medical staff, including nursing, has gone over and above to make sure that I am comfortable, and my condition is being handled with the upmost care. They are controlling the pain to the best of their ability and have taken care of any additional medical Concerns. The outside of the building is well cap grounds manicured and building is in pristine condition. I am very glad to call Brookdale pinnacle for now my home.

The entire intake process was excellent, from them doing a pre admission assessment to giving us recommendations for movers and utility hookups like phone and cable. We met with staff from executive to nursing, housekeeping, food service and maintenance. All very friendly and welcoming. We had some complications during the admission process on our end that they sorted brilliantly. So as the children who were responsible for finding and managing this, it was amazing because we live at least 1,000 miles away. My mother is very very picky and she couldn't stop saying how clean and well maintained her new home is and she actually likes the food! She loves the folks who are taking care of her and we are especially relieved that the nurses there are on the ball. They communicate with us and have been excellent in not only providing care, but arranging for care when needed. Brookdale is worth every dollar they charge and are clear about the cost of care. They have tiers of care, which we find better than a la carte.

Beautiful facility and wonderful staff! I would recommend this facility to others.
