Brookdale

Great staff, all staff been there for a long time wonderful food, the nurse very caring. I would recommend Brookdale Edmond Danforth.

It is nearly impossible to admit you are no longer able to care for your husband, but that was my situation. My children spearheaded finding a place for their Dad, set up interviews and accompanied me. The Brookdale facility is quite lovely, and my husband's apartment is perfect for him. He is in Memory Care. Any staff I have met have been very kind, helpful and caring. I visit often, participate in events, take our dog for visits and enjoy an outing of lunch, dinner, ice cream and a ride. with him. My daughter & son appreciate we were able to decorate his space to reflect our family. My children & grandchildren are also comfortable with being able to visit any time around their unpredictable & crazy schedules. Out of town family & friends are welcome to enjoy a sitting room available with tea and snacks .

I had a bad experience with the business aspect. Also, they were unfair in the management of the radio in the dining hall.

They had a slightly younger group of residents, a good number of males (I was finding a place for Dad) and most importantly this Brookdale facility has licenses for a higher level of care than other traditional assisted living facilities. So he should be able to stay here for a longer time until he needs more Skilled nursing. Every employee has been very friendly and knowledgeable. For residents with high level health issues, finding an outside primary care physician may be recommended for best healthcare.

It's a very warm place, not too big, so staff gets to know the residents, at least in my mom's case. I should point out that she's a very friendly person, so that may have helped rapport to develop quickly. Top staff are always available on email or by text. Place has a nice atmosphere. Very clean. Good food served in nice surroundings. They worked closely with me when Mom had a bout of confusion brought on by a UTI and also consulted with her primary care doc. Residents are treated respectfully. Aides and nurses were nice to mom. I would recommend the facility.

It feels very homey and not cold or clinical. Many of the residents are always out socializing with each other. Great environment. Staff is very helpful and friendly!

Every staff member has been so friendly and helpful, always responsive to questions in a very timely manner. We have not had one concern or complaint about anything. My family member has needed modification to diet and they couldn't be more accommodating. In comparison to other facilities I toured the price was significantly less and I doubt the care would have been any better. Very high marks to all.

The staff is outstanding. They go above and beyond to make sure residents needs are taken care of. The food and eating facilities are VIP grade and they provide special occasions on holidays. Special outings with transportation are also scheduled. I am very impressed with this facility and highly recommend it.

It feels good to enter the facility and encounter a well staffed, knowledgeable and friendly group of service providers. I feel good to witness how my family member is so well taken care of.

Brookdale the Colony in FT Myers Fl., truly does NOT feel like an institution rather more like a Festive home for our aging parents w memory impairment! Just last week, they Celebrated Mardi Gras with all the fan fair of New Orleans. Chef [name removed] & [name removed] made sure to have a cookout for a Super Bowl Party!! They both cater..to soo many different eating needs its truly remarkable how they keep it all together. [name removed] God Bless [name removed] her energy, passion and creative flair...keep residents busy & made to feel more like friends &family! Who keeps this place in great maintenance care [name removed] does! There is a whole great new team put together by [name removed] she is a Nurse & Executive Director...she lets residents sit in her office & tell thier life stories. Nurse [name removed]...recently saved my dads life & the daily Caregivers they are saints. [name removed], is just one of the gems! They all do such difficult work.[names removed] they know each resident so well thier jobs are beyond difficult.

They were ready to walk my nephew and I through the process in a moments notice and in the evening. They were honest, helpful as liaison with the hospital, and adjusted my sisters care DOWN when she was settled rather than keeping her at a higher rate. This helped build trust.

[name removed] was very helpful accommodating an unexpectedly quick transition for our aunt. She even went to the hospital to accommodate the paperwork and help mentally aid Shirley in moving from her home of over 40 years.

We do recommend Brookdale Nine Mile to anyone needing memory care for their loved one. The facility is attractive and clean. The staff are friendly to family members and caring towards the residents. They offer wonderful physical activities and social interaction daily.

Everyone working there seems to be happy to work there and they are caring and thoughtful. The move in process was very smooth and Mom made friends right away. There's a genuine sense of community with staff and residents and we all felt welcome immediately. Food quality and variety are important to the staff and it's easy to offer suggestions and they want feedback. We definitely recommend Brookdale.

The facility is well maintained with antique furniture design that makes it a very attractive place. The common areas that the residence share is well maintained. Very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. My mother-in-law is adjusting well. The staff at Brookdale is diverse and work as a team, making sure the needs of the residents are met. Everyone works to make sure the residence feel as if they are part of one big family. I've seen such a positive change in my mother-in-law. The joy of life is back, something I hadn't seen since she loss her husband. She is socializing again, no longer isolated in her home by herself. It's a blessing for my wife and I knowing she is safe and is well cared for without loosing her independence.

Mom lived at Brookdale Peacehaven for the last 2 years. Our experience with the staff and the residents was a good one. I went almost everyday and they became like an extended family to us. Alzheimer's is such a a difficult disease and without their help, kindness and care, it would have been a very different life for us. My mother was treated with kindness and respect. The staff does the best they can each day. They are special humans that do this kind of work. We are thankful for each one of them that showed up and cared for my Mom.

Staff is very welcoming, recognizes that one is new to the community and then remembers their name going forward. Every Dept. meets new residents, if applicable, gets engagement with resident (example - activity dept. stops by and then discusses options, asks how they can assist, etc.) There is an Ambassador program that matches new residents to an existing resident to "show them the ropes" per se

The experience I have is Brookdale assistance living is a wonderful place to have your love one live. The facility is very clean, organized, care givers and staff are very friendly, helpful, and they know there job. The apartment is very clean and nicely decorated. So my opinion is I know I don't have to worry about my mom because she is well taken care of. The nurses and staff notified you and keep you updated on any information.

Everything very good, but apartment is very small. We picked this community because of great recruiting, and the cost.

Some of the staff are amazing and very caring and respectful, and treat my loved one like their own family! I would recommend this facility. We picked this community because of it's friendliness, cleanliness and location. They seemed to really care about their residents.
