Brookdale

I would have to say that I am extremely satisfied with Brookdale at Eddy Pond West. So, that would be a 5 out of 5 across the board. Everyone there has been and continues to do everything they can to make a difficult situation bearable. If I had to go through the experience of placing family in a residence best suited for their needs, I would not hesitate to consult A Place for Mom.

After touring the facility and meeting the friendly and competent staff, we were leaning to Brookdale Falling Creek. While my parents were discussing moving my dad there, I went back unannounced and had the same warm reception from staff members that I hadn’t seen on the tour. And, I also spoke to several residents that were very positive and excited to tell me what a good place it is. We made the decision and moved Dad there last week and he is happy, likes the food, the staff and smiles all the time.

Beautiful facility, friendly staff, very welcoming. Knowledgeable team, menus look great. I like the idea of provider availability at the facility.

I recently moved my mom into Brookdale Dover. It's a very charming and cute facility. It's very cozy and homie. The residents are lovely and the staff is very wholesome. My mom was a bit nervous about moving in. The staff was so welcoming and engaging, it made her move less overwhelming. What really sold us on this place is the rabbit. You have to come meet him for yourself. He is the cutest thing ever and so friendly and gentle with the residents.

Safe place to live. Caring staff. Food has improved a lot, and I look forward to dinner. Cheff and cooks make great chicken! the serving staff is attentive and kind. I like that they have everyday menu items.

The facility was warm and welcoming… especially the staff who took time to introduce themselves and their respective roles. Lots of activities, great food options for all levels and larger rooms. It’s on the top of our list for a prospective place for Mom.

You cannot put a price on piece of mind. The calm serenity in the depth of your soul. As my folks begin to age into the 90s, life became very difficult for them. It also became very frightful and dangerous just to do regular mundane daily task. We offered many options to our parents for home care. We kept them in their home as long as possible. It increasingly got harder for them. Brookdale has been our saving grace. It has given our parents, the comfort ,care and safety needed. While maintaining a level of independence they couldn’t have at home. Brookdale is very good to keep family informed in residence care. Families are invited to Join in for a meal , Programs and activities. Family is always welcome and never turned away. Walking in the door, you receive smiles, hugs and welcomes. That is what family is . Place where you’re loved one is treated with respect, worth, gratitude and love. Brookdale has taken away frustration And fear And has given my Family Serenity.

When I first started the journey of finding a place for my mom. I thought it was going to be tougher than it actually was. When I walked into the Brookdale community it was like coming home. It was pretty, nice, clean, caring and people with smiles all around. I had visited various communities but kept going back to Brookdale. Every time the Director [Name Removed] was there to welcome me. I wasn’t going to live there but didn’t want to leave either. I highly recommend this facility and its staff. My dad resided there for over four years until he passed . It was always a positive experience. The facility is well cared for and I loved the homey atmosphere. I can’t say enough good things about the staff, ALL of them. Everyone was so kind, patient and compassionate. They were also very accommodating, I loved that about the kitchen staff because dad could be a little fussy. They became family.

[name removed] and the entire team were incredibly accommodating throughout our experience. Everyone we met during our tour was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The maintenance staff even helped us move some belongings in, which meant so much during a difficult time. Sadly, my grandmother passed away before she had the opportunity to live in the community. However, based on the care, compassion, and hospitality we experienced, I truly believe she would have been very happy there.

They have very friendly staff and they spent a lot of time with us answering all of our questions and concerns. And still going above and beyond.

Staffs communication. Cleanliness of facility. Staff kindness including kitchen staff making sure meals are available for all resident in room or in dining area. I would recommend

I couldn’t believe how clean, friendly and charming Brookdale in Hartwell is! My friend moved in last month and has really settled in and likes her new friends that she has met. They have a wraparound porch that is quite nice

1) potential care facilities reaching out to me asking if they could answer any questions. At the time we were considering placing my mom I did not know who to call. This service brought them to me. 2) we needed an immediate placement and I was in constant contact until this happened. 3) I felt like all my questions were answered and if they weren't they got me in contact with someone who could give me accurate information so I could make an informed decision.

All staff made an effort to stop and welcome Mom on her first day and she really appreciated that. The staff that cleans her apartment is extremely kind and does a wonderful job.

The care the nurses and staff give my mom is good, and we appreciate the attention they provide. The main issues have been with housekeeping, laundry, and food service. We are often told that they are short-handed, but these problems have continued for the past few months without much improvement. We understand that staffing challenges can happen, but we would like to see more consistent service in these areas, as they have a significant impact on residents' comfort and quality of life.

Brookdale Diablo has a very welcoming energy from both staff and residents. All staff from sales to resident care have been great. My mom's care staff encouraged her to participate in fitness classes. Very impressed with Ex Director [name removed] who is very present and available and responsive to my questions. The same goes for Health and Wellness Director, [name removed]. All staff are genuinely caring with welcoming positive attitudes. The facility is clean, and we had several nice rooms from which to choose. My mom had been pleased with the food quality and choices. We have been very pleased with BD.

My mother has been a resident for nearly a year and a half, and my family couldn’t be more pleased with Brookdale. The staff, including management, genuinely cares for my mom & her wellbeing AND her happiness. My mother has moderate dementia & requires assistance in dressing and personal care. Recently, I was visiting when the care giver came in to help her shower & dress. I was able to overhear their conversation and it warmed my heart to hear their interactions. There was an obvious caring relationship because they were laughing and talking so lovingly to my mom. The facility is clean & kept in great condition. Brookdale is smaller than some here but that just makes it more “family “ between residents & staff. The ultimate sign that it is a quality place is that my mother is happy and she feels safe there.

My parents moved into Brookdale Lafayette a few months ago and have successfully made the transition from independent living to assisted living due in great part to the Brookdale staff. Every staff member, from the Executive Director, [Name Removed], to the executive staff, medical professionals, aides, housekeepers, kitchen staff, maintenance workers, etc have all played a part in their successful transition. They have all been responsive, kind, helpful, positive, action-oriented and flexible as my parents have settled in. The facility is clean and bright, and the food is healthy and delicious with many daily options for the residents to choose from. I cannot stress enough what a difference the Brookdale staff and nice facilities have made to not only my parents, but also me. I am so appreciative and comforted that my parents are being cared for so well by Brookdale Lafayette.

I will say that I had two good Caregivers, one was named [name removed] and the other was named [name removed]. They took good care of me, but they both quit. I was always satisfied with my care with those two Caregivers and also Bright star for employing them!
