Brookdale

We were a little weary about moving our father into an assisted living facility. Several years later, we can see that it was the best move we could have made. His meals are provided, along with laundry services, activities and a variety of games and mind exercises to keep the residents sharp as a tack! All the staff and most residents know each other by name and establish friendships quickly. I can now see that it was the best move for him!

My parents moved to Brookdale Rome 4yrs ago, as their nature, to be prepared for the future. Brookdale staff has always been respectful and caring to my parents. They have been very helpful with changing needs. My father’s health declined and he passed away 6 months ago. My mother, as was their plan, chooses to remain at Brookdale. She tells others that she knows this is where she wants to be. She is well supported and taken care of. We, as a family, are thankful for the staff at Brookdale and the friends made.

People very friendly. They have made us feel welcome. Yes, we would recommend this community to others.

They are so good to my sister there. I couldn’t ask for a better place for her to live. Everyone is so involved and loving towards her. She has so many friends that she enjoys spending time with. Brookdale is her home!

Brookdale Jones farm in Huntsville does a great job hosting events and it makes living here great. I am glad i choose to live here. Everyone does a great job and are very involved. My overall experience is a five-star!

Mom loves it and my brother and I have peace of mind. The staff knows everyone. That is extremely comforting. The dining room with wait staff makes it a social event for my mom and she was very isolated in her old apartment. Too many seniors don't eat right etc. This is a godsend on a whole different level.

Staff and Meals I really cannot rate except for one guy. I think his name was [name removed]. He was excellent. My dad has not really taken part of any activities. We like that my dad is safe, well fed, and well looked after.

The staff has been very loving and helpful and made my aunt feel so welcome. The room is a nice size with big bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with grab bars which are great for the ease of the client to use. The facility is welcoming and clean.

While our family’s circumstances ultimately changed and we did not move in, I wanted to share how thoroughly impressed I was with Brookdale. The environment is beautiful and the care I witnessed during our visit was excellent. The residents appeared truly comfortable and happy in their surroundings. Every staff member we met was professional, informative, and deeply understanding of how emotional and important this transition is for a family. After looking at several places, Brookdale was the place my parents chose because of the smaller community and how easy it is to navigate. I knew transitioning both my parents from living on a farm in southern Illinois to senior living at Brookdale was going to be challenging but to my surprise they have adapted very well! The staff is VERY helpful and is able to answer any questions that might pop up at any time. My parents are living the worry free life they deserve thanks to Brookdale. They are eating regularly and haven't had any complaints. My dad is picky but he manages to find something on the menu he likes. They have been there for little over a month now and I haven't seen anything repeated on the menu yet. The facility is clean and very well laid out. The residents are SUPER friendly and are very willing to help my parents navigate their way. My parents originally wanted a two bedroom but are very satisfied with a one bedroom. The space in the apartment is more than enough. My mom especially loves the screened in patio that every apartment has. She spends a lot of time on her patio with her dog. I think they definitely picked the right place for them!

Halls and Lobby are carpeted, which helps with being more quiet than others we visited with all tile floors. Wide Hallways in resident areas with handrails. Very clean facility. All the staff were pleasant, many have been there for years. Very good size studio apartments with a mini-kitchen area with sink and frig. The studio we picked-out has 2 large storage closets and the window view overlooks Sycamore trees. Good size screened porch. Residents all seemed happy, easy to chat with. There are plenty of near-by shopping areas within walking distance, lots of store varieties. They have less than 80 residents, which we liked because it is smaller than many we visited. It is 3 floors tall, with a natural setting, many trees, off a quiet road. We feel our sister will be well taken care of here. And she should be very comfortable living in this facility.

The staff at Brookdale Gaines Ranch is extremely kind and knowledgeable. They made my mother and I feel like we belonged there. I do not believe that there is any need for improvement with Gaines Ranch.

The staff has been helpful, polite, friendly, patient, willing to answer questions. They have a rehab room and certified teacher. They have live music of our age, frequently. There are staff workers 24/7. My husband has a big room that gets cleaned. I have been very pleased.

I got with[Name removed] and we did a full review of my mother’s care plan. After consultation we were able to save my mom over [Amount removed]month! We talked about her progress and always being able to add services back in as needed. Thanks [Name Removed]!

I recently visited Brookdale Meridian and was very impressed with the community. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and inviting. The building was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and had a comfortable feeling throughout. The staff were friendly, professional, and appropriately dressed. Everyone I encountered was welcoming and seemed genuinely happy to be there. It was clear that they care about both the residents and the overall environment of the community. What stood out most to me was the residents. The people living there appeared healthy, active, and happy. I saw residents interacting with staff and one another in a positive way, and there was a strong sense of community throughout the building. Overall, Brookdale Meridian left a wonderful impression on me. The combination of a clean environment, caring staff, and engaged residents creates a place that truly feels like home. I love the family holiday events. I like that my dad was able to move from the regular residence to memory care seamlessly. All members of the staff are friendly and helpful. They took the time to get to know my dad by asking me about him both as a regular resident and again when he moved to memory care. It's a nice, small community.

Very welcoming and homey feel. Spacious and well kept. Good lighting. Good size rooms and many opportunities for residents to interact with each other. At the top of our list.

I have seen the schedule of events which are great. Mom really likes the food. Everything looks very clean and well decorated. Mom is struggling because her hearing is so bad, even with her hearing aids, and the high ceilings and open spaces are just beautiful but the voices just dissipate so she is not being able to participate in conversations. That's what is really getting her down. But everyone is so kind and tries so hard to include her. I don't of anything else that could be done that isn't already being done.

As I walked in the door I was greeted by the young lady in the front office. My appointment was at 10:30am and the ED was very prompt and we started on time without a wait. As I tour the community a lot of the staff and residents were very friendly and welcoming. As I toured several communities for my Father this one is on the top of my list.
