We don’t really use any care services, so I can’t rate that. My loved one has dementia so it was very hard to settle in. It’s hard for anyone at that age. There can be lot of time required of the family to start. The staff was great with that.

They did a wonderful job here, it was a very high end community, and I'd rate them highly across the board. The place was nice looking, the staff were friendly, and they did a great job with all of the services they provided. The activities director in particular was wonderful!

My experience with the staff at Mallard Point has been wonderful. Everyone has made the transition for my mom an easy one. Everyone is also continuing to update and communicate with me during my mom's first 90 days.

We have been very pleased with Mallard Point. When we had concerns they listened and fixed the issue. Most of the staff have been very helpful. The apartment is wonderful and the food has been excellent. There are lots of activities and the other people living there have been friendly and encouraging. The meals are at a scheduled time but that is helpful to us. The view is very good and it is in a quiet residential area. It is wonderful to have one payment include everything.

APFM was very helpful in narrowing down our search to places that accepted smoking. That was important to our mom. There were a couple of places that they referred me to that I didn't realize were in my community, so that was good to know. One of those ended up being the place that we chose. Our mom is very happy with the care that she is receiving so far, and so are my sister and I. Thank you for your help!

Montvale has proven to be a wonderful choice for my mom. The entire staff is friendly, cheerful and caring and the food is excellent with many choices for those who don't find the main offering at any meal to their taste. There are also two rooms for family meals with mom or you can simply join her in the main dining room. Motvale offers numerous activities, including regular exercise classes, movie nights, games and live music virtually every week from a variety of musicians. Finally, although technically an independent living facility, Montvale partners with a company called Vital Wellness to provide many assisted living services, some of which my mom requires.

My mother was required to move out of rehab earlier than expected after her stroke. We had contacted Solana earlier about moving mom there selecting an efficiency for her, but we had two days notice that she was being released earlier. Solana went out of their way to provide a temporary room until her assigned room became available two weeks later. It was such a relief for us, since everyone there was friendly and caring. Mom has upgraded from an efficiency to a one-bedroom place since then and is doing well. I live 400+ miles away so I can only visit monthly. I continue to be surprised that everyone know who I am by name, knows exactly where my mom is at the moment (restaurant, class activity, etc.), and provides near immediate response on my requests for billing, health records, etc. The care has been wonderful, the food has been really good, and the place treats you like family. I couldn't ask for more!

The care. They are doing a really good job. The building is very, very nice.

I like it real well. I'm completely happy here, I would reccommond it others. Everything in general is really good. They had a lot more amenities that others did. As far as my needs are concerned, they take really good care of me.

Overall this community is just very good in general. It's very nice looking, clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The staff there is so wonderful! It's the biggest reason we chose carriage court. The people really get to know the residents. I just think they have a very welcoming atmosphere. I think it is on the expensive side but I think it's worth it. The only thing I wish they would change is If the resident is sick or has maybe missed dinner or lunch because of therapy or visitors or something else you have to pay an additional amount for a tray to be taken up to the room. My step father has memory issues and it's hard when you're paying that additional because of he has trouble remembering to go down. That's though. The care is wonderful. Their aids are so positive and so happy and so caring. They have a lot of act very welcoming to the families too. We looked around a lot in the area and we're very pleased with Carriage Court.

This is a wonderful facility. So up beat and they always seem to have nice activities for the residents. Recently I was blessed to be able to listen to several young musicians giving a recitial in the lobby. This is just one of many activities planned for the residents. I truly appreciate Kristina, the marketing Director for all of the work she did in order to get my Mother-in-law placed at Carriage Court. Everyone there is top notch!!

Very nice place but I am not sure that mom can afford it.

Mom's very shy in the beginning so unless someone goes down to meals with her or activites but once she's around people she enjoys it, she really is a social butterfly once she gets there. She has cataract's but is getting surgery in the next couple of weeks but I'm hoping since she was forced into the situation and she can't see, after she gets this cataract done she's going to feel much better. They do try to encourage her but she won't listen sometimes, the actvities that she's done already she enjoyed. Her bath aid has been wonderful to her, she'll bring food up for her if she doesn't want to go to dinner, her and the cleaning lady has been real good to her. They have gone out of their way to help her. The directors even want to really encourage her and if they see her out they come up to her and say how happy they are to see her, they're really putting it out there for them. We're really happy with it..

Montvale Estates offers a good variety of activities for the residents, some of the activities looked so fun I wanted to join in. The location of this community really made it convenient for our family to visit. There is just so many factors that really made us chose this community like location, price, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. It is located right across the street from a grocery store and right behind that there is a lot of doctors offices anything from optomitrist to audiologist. The have really comfortable places to sit down and relax both inside the community and outside. When the residents do not feel well they can ask the staff to bring them their meals to their rooms. The food was really good they have all kinds of food and big variety, there was home made bread, home made muffins, fresh fruit and anything else you can order off a menu. I would highly recommend them, in fact I am handing out their cards like if I work for them. Any time I see a person who might possibly need a community like this I let them know about it.

This all happened so fast, I talked to other places that were a reasonable distance, but The Solana West county ended up being the best. My father started receiving physical therapy on day three after checking in. Still in the evaluation stage, the staff and doctors just getting to know my father an his capabilities. We are happy with their services so far.

Very nice place. Activity rooms centrally located. Wading pool in center of complex. Feels more like separate apartments. PG&E and phone are extra. Refrigerator and double-burner stove top in kitchen area.
