The staff is well trained and they never seem to have a bad day, they are always upbeat. It's like one big family, your not just a number like some facilities. Kathleen & Laurethea were very helpful with the move in, I can reach out to them at anytime by cell and they usually have the answers to what I'm looking for. They helped me and my family get through a very tough situation and choice in my father's care.

Our family chose Memory Care Living because of its location and family feeling atmosphere. There are only 16 residents which enables each person to receive individualized attention as well as a private bedroom. We prefer that meals are freshly prepared on site in the house kitchen. The staff is very welcoming and encourages family and friends to visit.

My mother is doing well at this community, and I know she is safe and good hands. It is a well maintained community, everything is nice and clean. They have a fine staff here, they are caring for my mother well. There activities offered, my mother is trying a few. I'am confident about the type of care they are providing my mother with.

My Mom moved to Hillsdale 2 in August 2015. I have been reluctant to write a review as our initial experience was not ideal. At the time of my mom's move, the house manager and Nurse had quit and the acitivities director was not at work due to an injury. Consequently, my Mom's transition to the facility was handled very poorly. I was very upset and didn't feel that when I called the administrative offices they were sensitive to my concerns about my mom's transition. After having a couple of meltdowns, they became more attentive. Things became a little better but they never directly addressed questions I had about them finding a new house manager and if they were ever going to replace the Nurse. They apparently are not going to replace the Nurse. I do wish someone from administration would of just told me that in the first place. All that being said, I am glad I didn't jump the gun and write a bad review. It took them about 3 mos. to find a new house manager. But they finally did and she is wonderful. She is very responsive to any questions or concerns I have. She randomly sends me pictures of my Mom enjoying activities. I have also grown very fond of several staff members. They treat my mom like she is their mom. The home is homey and has a warm feel to it. I adore the other residents, they are becoming like family to me as well. Whenever my mom is sad the house manager takes her accross the street to Hillsdale 1 to visit the residents. My mom thinks she is going over there to cheer them up and feels very important. She forgets all about why she is sad. To sum it up...after a very rocky start, I am happy to say that Hillsdale 2 is an environment where my mom is engaged, well cared for and thriving. That's all one can ask for their loved one! I am giving Hillsdale 2 a 4 star rating. It would be 5 stars if the commincation between families and administrative offices were a bit better...

The staff are very kind. The Family Care specialist was just the right person to help us transition from family to the Memory Residence. Their physician is very kind and knowledgeable. There are a number of men who live there, which was important to me. I didnt want my loved one surrounded by only women. The residence style living has made it easier to encourage friends and family to visit because they are not going to "nursing home." It looks like a residence and the relaxed atmosphere has helped my loved one relax and settle in to a new environment.

Staff interact nicely with residents and family members and are attentive. Very clean. Private room for each resident. Seem to keep patient's comfort a high priority.

When we met with the personnel at Memory Care in Paramus, we couldn't believe how homey and clean it was. We were so excited that my father was going to go and be a resident there. They have home cooked meals, they do activities with the residents, they involve the family in activities also. Plus, the cost per month is substantially lower than other facilities in the area almost by half. In the end, however, my father couldn't stay there as he needed more advanced care in a more traditional secured nursing home as his dementia has become more advanced. We were very disappointed that he had to leave Memory Care. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place for their loved one. However, if your loved one needs more care, an aid costs extra to go with them to Memory Care. Memory Care is a good place for residents that aren't considered a "security threat" and are pretty docile, which my father wasn't. It wasn't enough to cover my father's care and needs.

I went online to find a dementia care facility for my Uncle as the facility he was in was too large and he needed more one on one care. I reached out to senior advisors.com as I live in California and told them I was looking for a smaller facility with a home like environment as we have these types of care homes in California. Within 24 hours I had several homes call me and Memory Care Living was the best fit. Only 15 rooms with a higher staff to patient ratio what a great fit.

I think that it is a good facility compared to the other ones that I have visited. Overall I think they work really with men specifically. I think it is a good place and so far they have done really well with my father and they are very helpful.

At Memory Care Living at Green Brook they need to make sure that there is toilet paper and paper towels in the wash room for the client. It is quite a bit different from the in home one on one care that we were getting.

I have been in touch with Peter from Memory Care Living and he has been very helpful, but as I explained to him for right now I am really trying to keep my husband at home with help. If things change down the road I would seriously consider Memory Care.

I feel comfortable with my Mom at Memory Care. They are very centered on the best csre for sll the residents. It has a fell of home and I am greatful we found a place bettrr than a nursing home.

Memory Care Living at Green Brook has a really, really nice general manager, shes' so nice, friendly and involved in everything. Only thing that maybe I don't like is that the rooms don't have their own bathrooms.

Overall our experience with Memory Care Living at Paramus has been a good one. It is a smaller, clean, well kept community, and the staff have been friendly and helpful for the most part. They are in a transition period with a new director, but after speaking with her I think that she will be able to make a lot of positive changes!

My main impression was that the living area was crowded and seemed cramped. The staff was nice and over all everything was nice and clean. There was a lovely outdoor space that was available. I just don't think this was the best location for me.

I felt that the residents with dementia were further advanced that my mother and that she would not fit in. However, it was a very homey atmosphere and they had a great area for the residents to spend time in outside of their rooms. Also it had a great garden setting for them to spend time outdoors when the weather improved.

This place was nice. It is a smaller place than others and I liked the intimacy of the staff with the clients but I wasn't completely convinced that this would be the place for my Grandmother. The facility is clean and the clients looked well cared for. The place is a home-like setting which is nice. It seems like this place would be a good place for some elders but I just didn't get the feeling that this is the right place for my Grandmother.

So far we're satisfied with them. We haven't really had any complaints or concerns. He was very subdued while he was there, he is in the hospital for now, and seems to be much more alert. I don't know if it was the medication or not, but it's something to keep in mind.

Memory Care Living at Hillsdale is not a nursing home. It is more like a 24 hour daycare center. At night time they have only two staff members working, though during the day they have five staff members. All the bedrooms are on the second floor. That did concern me In case of a fire. How would my wife and the other residents get out in time. I did not like the parking. Not very accommodating for the weekends, it can get very busy. Another concern I have was Veronica’s medications. I now get two of her main medications through Canada, which saves us quite a bit of money. When speaking with this community and their pharmacy options. I found that they were quite expensive and would not work with our budget. I do feel like this community takes care of their residents and seems to try and add social stimulation.
