Brookdale

The Director [name removed] worked side by side with me on getting my father in law in on Christmas Eve. The staff worked hard getting him set up, not easy having them work so hard on Christmas Eve. Can't comment on activities yet, he didn't have portable oxygen set up until last week. The staff bought all 3 meals each day to help him Really nice place.

Brookdale has been a great choice for me. I love the room and the caring staff. There is a great response to requests for assistance and many opportunities to socialize. Best thing for me is that Brookdale was affordable and within my budget.

All 5's! Brookdale was in its own category for being the best facility. I toured six total facilities and none of the other five even came close to the quality that Brookdale was. Brookdale was one of two facilities where the staff smiled and the residents looked happy and clean. The facility also did not smell like an old folks home. Kudos to Brookdale's management for creating a place where people enjoyed coming to work! The activities director is also incredible! My husband loved being out in the center area, where all activities took place. Sometimes he joined in and other times he observed, but it got him out of his room and associating with others. The staff was so positive and encouraging and the activities were varied, interesting, and fun for the residents. I witnessed the management staff, sweeping floors, serving meals, helping the housekeeper, bring dirty linens, and clothes to the laundry room, engaging in the activities. They were not sitting in their offices!

I have personally went through the tour twice, initially by myself then with my dad (the intended resident). I found all the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and went above and beyond the expectations I had anticipated. When dad or I had questions or concerns, all employees were able and not withholding of the answers. My dad and I are greatly satisfied and grateful for all the time and direction they have offered. Thank you to all the people who worked together for my family and myself.

Our experience with Brookdale is a 5. We just lost my Mom and they have been and continue to give my Dad and all of us great support.

The place itself outside of a whole bunch of outside windows, missing cause of a hellstorm was tip top. It was pretty inside very warm, and comfortable. People were all friendly. Great sing along area. Nice t v fireplace.Beauty salon will work.The restaurant looks fine.Yeah yeah nice place.

The staff is very helpful, the activities are helpful, the dining experience is awesome, the apartment is great.

THEY ARE VERY GOOD TO HER!! What else is there to say?! Food looks nice, clean facility... friendly staff... just going through these snow storms... i have been relieved to know she is ok... and happy...what more can a man ask for???

I rate Brookdale at a 5+. The facility is very well kept. Everyone of the staff that I had a chance to interact with was very attentive and friendly. They all seemed to really enjoy their jobs. My mother enjoyed all the activities and said the food was very good.

My family member is suffering from later-stage dementia, but he's fully mobile. The staff at Brookdale seems very understanding, and provide [name removed] with recreational and spiritual support. It's a small facility (20 beds), and most of the staff is long-tenured. With the couple of snapshot views we've had (we've spent a couple of hours there on each visit), the staff seems to be fully engaged, and knows each patient pretty well. I'm very comfortable with [name removed] living there, as I think they're meeting all of his needs, while allowing him to maintain his dignity.

They're nice and helpful. I would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.

My sister and I visited Brookdale because we were looking for a facility for our mother. We really like the staff. They were very kind and informative, the place was clean didn’t have an unpleasant odor at all. Brookdale has every amenity our mom would need or want. Our mom ended up living there for several months, they had activities every day, which helped her to get out of her shell because she’s not very social by nature. There were so many friendly ladies who would come and visit her and take her to activities and just visit. Brookdale set aside a timeframe in one of their rooms for the church ladies from my mom‘s church to come and visit and do Bible study. While Mom was living there, she also was able to do on-site therapy which really enhanced her ability to walk even though she uses a walker. She definitely was stronger and had more stamina. I would definitely recommend Brookdale to anyone who is looking for a safe comfortable and pleasant facility for their loved one.

I find the staff consistently kind, friendly, helpful, accommodating, and very competent.

I am a current resident that lives here and during my search for senior living, Brookdale stood out to me the most because of the people being so friendly and helpful when I toured. I have been very active since living here and absolutely love all the activities that we have going on here from the exercise program all the way down to the outings that are provided.

I have been here almost 2 years and I am a widow with no family around. I stayed home for several years and did not enjoy being alone. I love Brookdale because it gives me the opportunity to socialize with seniors of my age and gives me a purpose in life.

What we like the most about the community is that their staff members are very caring and professional. Yes, we would recommend Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks to other families based on the experience.

I highly recommend this facility!!!! It's beautiful and personal more like a vacation than a memory care. The rooms are spacious with private baths. They are amazing!!!

The staff members are terrific, the accommodations are lovely & you can generally find something decent to eat. The desserts need help. The cakes & brownies are too dry & bland. They should offer more fruit.

My mom is soo happy at Brookdale. She tells people in waiting rooms at her doctors, tells people at church and her former neighbors how much she loves it there. She is almost completely blind but the staff are very kind and helpful, while allowing her to do everything she can do on her own. Mom has always been a very independent woman. She's also very social and living at home had become very solitary and lonely. Now she has joined many of the groups and activities available. She was an avid walker and at 90 was still walking 2-3 miles daily with a neighbor as her guide. The facility has an easy to remember layout and even with the severe winter we are having, she has been able to walk inside and her former neighbor comes several days to walk with her. The meals have a good variety and they are served restaurant style. Her special dietary needs are met as well. Her room is one of their medium size rooms. It's cleaned regularly and was freshly painted prior to her moving in. She has 2 closets, and brought from home 2 wardrobes, a recliner, twin bed, nightstand, a 75" flat screen TV with a stand and end table. The room has it's own heat and a/c unit which mom can adjust to her comfort. A large, wheelchair accessible bathroom. There are multiple areas thru out the facilities where you can sit with family and friends to visit. They have a community room that can be reserved for a family gathering. Assisted living is expensive, but seeing my mom be the vibrant, involved, smiling woman she was is worth every penny to me.
