Brookdale

When we moved my mother in, I knew this was THE place for her. The atmosphere is calming and cozy. The premises are clean and accessible. My mother oohed and ahhed over the facilities. And the staff was cheerful and accommodating. We're very happy with the choice of Brookdale Deland!

Everyone here is real nice. From the staff, to the residents and even to their families. We all take care of each other. We all became family. We like to have fun and do things together. I recommend it.

Brookdale on Country Club Blvd in Cape Coral, FL is OUTSTANDING! Here’s why. My loved one needed a place quickly after rehab as she could no longer live alone. Fortunately, I toured Brookdale and immediately knew it would be a great place for her. Having had my mother at a more expensive competitor close by, I am sickened to this day that my mother was not at Brookdale on Country Club. The staff is CONSISTENT. They know the residents. They genuinely CARE about their well-being. The nursing staff is OBSERVANT and alerted me to something I wouldn’t have caught. The environment is SAFE and CLEAN. My loved one is WELL-CARED for in every way. When I moved her in, I told the staff, I will have a melt down at some point in regards to my loved one as I am VERY aware of my responsibility to make sure she is SAFE, WELL-CARED FOR, CONTENT, and HAPPY. She is all of these and more! My kudos to the CONSISTENT staff as I have not had a complaint in her 14 months there. It is SUPERIOR!

We have been very pleased with Brookdale and the care our mom has received. The nurses are great! [name removed] is especially wonderful with my mom. Her sincere care makes our mom feel good about where she is living. The activities and events are so fun and family oriented. The decor is welcoming. The staff are kind and quick to respond to our needs. Definitely works recommend Brookdale at Rosehill.

I have lived here for a year now. The staff are outstanding. Always friendly, always trying to help. The food is very good, Its like down home cooking. Greens are cooked right. Seasoning is good. Nice choices. Sometimes I have problems deciding as there are 3 good meals. Wait staff is outstanding. They remember my drinks and go back for pickles. Housekeeping does a very nice job and listens to what we want done this week.

We are grateful to the care that the staff has provided for my dad. The staff are friendly and communication has been excellent. It’s never easy to leave a love one in the care of others. I am happy to see how my dad has improved from the first day. I wouldn’t trust anyone else Sincerely.

Has been a great experience from the beginning. My wife and I have been treated as if we were old friends. All support staff from sales to nurses to receptionists have ALL been highly professional but extremely friendly. Icannot say enough positive things about Brookdale.

Brookdale of Port Charlotte is a wonderful place. My Mom enjoys living there. She enjoys the Staff and the other residents. It is a very nice home atmosphere for those who are unable to live in their own homes. The Staff is very informative about the care that my mother is receiving. Thank you for all you do.

Facility is excellent & lovingly cared for. All the staff very caring, thoughtful, & always available when help is needed. They have plenty of activities & you can be as busy as you like. Food is very good & plentiful.

I really enjoy spending time in the community. All of the staff are good natured and helpful. The residents seem to have made friends there and enjoy each other's company. There is a new Director of Dining and his meals are as imaginative as they are delicious!

Although there is no place like home, Brookdale staff does an excellent job of providing a home like experience for residents. Caring staff treat residents like family. Always open for family to visit. Offer many activities and celebrations with resident's families invited. Tastefully decorated. Residents are offered private apartment style rooms and can bring their own furniture from home.

Visited her to place my mom and after visiting several this is the one I chose. Mom is in rehab but will be moving her here after she is discharged . Very nice place. Not as up to date as others but the care and attitude of everyone means more to me! I did choose one of the lighter rooms. And hope it’s available when we need it!.

This is a very nice place my mom has been living here for a couple of yrs now. The care staff is great and it's like their all family here. It's a small community living, the food always looks and smells good! Have ate for holiday parties and its wonderful. I would say the activities are to all their liking at least the ones who want to go to them. All the management is very friendly and helpful.

I give them all 5 for each category. The staff and faculty are both exceptional. The care and professionalism is so noticeable from day one. They care they deliver results.

My mom stayed at Brookdale in Port Charlotte for 2 weeks. We were going up north and needed respite care. She loved her time there. She made friends, went on outings and said everyone was very friendly. When I picked her she said she would like to go there and stay if the need would arise. I was comfortable in leaving her there and I know I made a great decision in Brookdale.

My loved one has lived at Rosehill for over a year now. We have been overall very pleased with their care and they are doing very well there. While we have had some hiccups as you would anywhere the communication with staff is incredible and concerns are addressed immediately. Would highly recommend this place.

The community at Brookdale in Port Charlotte is a welcoming place for any loved one who needs extra care. The building has a warm and cozy atmosphere and is kept very clean. My stepfather has been in the community for several years and he is treated with respect and kindness by the staff, nurses and director. We enjoy having peace of mind knowing that Brookdale has a nursing staff as well to assist when needed.

The staff is fantastic, every one. the cleanliness is impeccable, the food is great, in house Dr. it is only 2 miles from a Duke Annex hospital. 10 days of assistance hanging curtains moving things to the downstairs storage. in- house physical therapy. The grounds are gorgeous with gardens for the residents to grow whatever they want. The in suite house phone is great for those with problems using or losing their cell phone. cable hook up within minutes of a call. it is a truely wonderful residence with every ammenity one could wish.

I love this place and I’m glad to call it my home. The staff here is great. I am able to have my little dog here with me as well, which is great because I’ve had her for 12 years. The meals are excellent. I am glad to be apart of this community

I would say that, like everywhere else, Brookdale is understaffed and people are overworked but trying their best to keep up. I believe marketing people should be more truthful about that as promises were oversold. Every employee works hard but you can tell they are short staffed and that some new employees are still learning their jobs. My parents had lived in Scottsdale before, so thought they would enjoy returning. Showers seemed safer than other places. Central air and heat, some places had floor units that were noisy and hearing aides would pick that up and be a droning sound in their ears. Some places had pretty dated looking cupboards, countertops, etc. Brookdale was pretty close to me and my sister.
