Brookdale

The staff is very friendly and welcoming to new residents. The staff quickly gets to know residents by name and even some of their likes/dislikes. Having the physicians (primary care, blood draws, nursing, podiatrist, dermatologist, dentist) that visit on site is a great help.

Staff are the best, always checking in. They take the time to get to know the client and our family. Also spend time visiting with residents who need encouragement. Their meals are good quality, options change often, and requests are taken.

This community is small in size which makes it easy to navigate. With only 30 assisted living apartments everyone becomes like family. Staff are friendly and attentive, the food is good and there is a variety of options. The apartments offer just enough space and the activities are always happening so residents are able to socialize which was the biggest issue when our loved one lived at home alone. The clinical staff is always so responsive to my questions and I love that I no longer have to worry if Mom is taking her correct meds like I did when she was at home. Finally have some peace of mind!

We (and my mom) liked Brookdale because it was smaller than some other facilities and it felt more like home. Having all of the facility on ground level was very beneficial. We would recommend this facility to others. We were very satisfied with our Brookdale experience.

Very expensive to add care such as shower assist. Staff is friendly and concerned about safety. They need to pay more attention to cleaning. Floors sticky and bathroom never looked clean. At every visit I ended up cleaning.

Ease of visitation and staffing was great. I would recommend to others.

The workers at Brookdale Torbett Alzheimer’s Community really pay attention and don’t leave their jobs often. I think this place is the best for anyone who needs help with their memory. I would tell others to go here.

Mom enjoys her “stay” at Brookdale and tells me how nice everyone is . She enjoys putting puzzles together with her friend and playing bingo. Whenever I am there for mealtime the food always looks and smells great.

I was really trying to find a home quickly for my mother that was in the hospital waiting for placement for three weeks. [name removed] Was so wonderful and actually worked hard to help me get mom Quickly into there facility because my mom was needing placement asap. All worked out and mom is here and adjusting little more everyday.

We have had such an amazing transition from another memory care facility to Brookedale Oak Hollow. The staff is loving and friendly, the activities are engaging and show a well-trained staff that understand the needs of memory care residents. The food is good, too!

It is a small community, extremely clean and quiet. The staff is kind and caring. They keep the POA updated on any changes. My mother in law is clean and dressed appropriately. There are always activities. A beautiful outdoor locked sitting area, with flowers and a small vegetable garden. The cost has increased, but that is to be expected.

The facility was tremendous, the staff was loving and caring and the food was good. My wife was only there for 10 days before she passed away and it cost me about[amount removed], which I thought was a lot for 10 days. Originally their price per month was lower, and considering the wonderful facilities and fantastic staff it seemed like the best place for the money even though it was a longer distance from my home.

I believe the director, [name removed], makes the facility run the (excellent) way it does. We CC transferred my mom to a different Brookdale when we relocated and had a VERY different experience.

If you can afford to move to the facility, it is definitely worth it because they take wonderful care of their residents.

Very helpful and welcoming community from what we could tell from my dads short life there. The staff worked with us on my dads rapidly changing conditions and adjusted rates and terms along with changes, which we were thankful for

We recently moved my 85 yr. old mother to Brookdale Westover Hills. She has been there 1 month and i have visited her multiple times on various days of the week and times of day. I have found the staff very caring and my mother confirms this. My mom has really enjoyed the food options. The offer a variety of activities both on site and off site. My mom went from being very isolated living with us to blossoming into her old social self. I would recommend this facility you are looking for an assisted living place. The building is on 4 floors. The ground and 1st floor are a higher rate than the 2nd and 3rd floor. Just because your loved one has a walker it doesn't mean they can't live on the 2nd of 3rd floor.

The staff paid personal attention to each resident which was very much appreciated. My Dad was a Navy vet and he said before he moved in that he liked just about any food because of his years on board ships. But it turned out the food was the only thing he didn't like at Brookdale. One of his friends complained to the director and he said there was nothing they could do to change it.

The staff is very attentive to Evelyn's needs and gets her involved in many things. Compared to [facility name removed] in Worcester where she was, Eddy Pond felt more open and like home.

I visited three facilities prior to placing my uncle at Brookdale. Brookdale was the best facility I could find in Clarksville. I would definitely recommend this facility.

If I could give the activities more than a 5, I would. The activity offerings are fabulous! The activities and the family atmosphere are the best. They offered the full range of services possible at their licensing level. My dad has an ostomy bag, and not all places would help with that. Also, again...the family feeling connected with all the activities. For example, whenever possible, memory care would come to the assisted living side for music programs and social events. The commitment to truly engaging residents at all levels was really obvious. Also, they have at least one nurse IN THE BUILDING 24/7.
