Brookdale

Every time I enter - someone greets me by name. My brother is very happy at Brookdale. He is finally meeting new people & reaching out to participate in more activities. Thank you!

Everyone at this brookdale facility knows the residents names and makes sure they are acknowledged and gets personal attention from the executive directors down to the care givers and cleaning people. They always treat residents and visitors with dignity and respect.

My mother is currently a resident at Brookdale Northwest Hills and the experience has been great. I am very happy with Brookdale Northwest Hills. This facility is a good fit for my mother and it is very close to me.

I love that my mom had a private room, but also had a friend next-door and other friends that she could eat with or sit on the porch with but she had privacy if some of her family or friends came to see her. I love that she didn't have to try to prepare meals herself or live alone, and it was a friendly convenient place for family to visit. We were able to have a birthday party for her in the big family room. I loved being able to visit with her on the front porch during the summer. I loved being able to be involved with activities like helping to plant flowers for the flowerpots in the summer. I loved that she had some therapy if she needed it. The meals were always delicious and the activities were outstanding! We got to have a tea party at Mother's Day. We had celebrations for Valentines and Halloween and people visited to sing on occasion or she loved church and being able to have a regular Church Sunday like she did at home. my experience with Brookdale was wonderful and I think my mom enjoyed it as well. She would've loved being at home, but she would've been lonely and she had friends and purpose at Brookdale!

Quality of staff care for my spouse was my number one priority. Facility and room layout, facility location, cost, overall size and the personality of the space, and other amenities are also factors. During a short visit, I was able to ask about staff turnover, and was able to see some resident/staff interactions. Staff interaction during the assessment of my spouse as an applicant was valuable. I was also looking at the rooms (size, single or double) and the space configuration (does it seem to fit my spouse’s behavior, eg, is she a pacer or a socializer). I also talked to family members of current residents. I believe one never knows for sure if it will work beforehand. And what works for one family is not always transferable to another resident or family. For me, I am glad I chose Brookdale Meadowment for my spouse. My feelings about the caring and skill of the staff have been confirmed. A single room in a small facility seems right. And location works for me.

When my parents decided to move into assisted living we looked at three places. When we walked into Brookdale Reynolda we knew we had found Mom and Dad’s new home. You walk right into the entry hall which opens up to the dining room and it smelled wonderful. The rooms were clean and freshly painted. The staff were all so welcoming and were sincerely interested in our situation. The care has been phenomenal from the cleaners all the way up to the CNAs and nurses doctors, NPs and PAs. Mom enjoys the food and is always presented a balanced meal. The activity director does an excellent job keeping activities for the residents usually having a morning and afternoon activity each day. The staff coordinates care for each resident and does a great job implementing care. The director told me she loves all her residents and tries to “lay eyes” on each one each day. We offered for Mom to come home with us but she says Brookdale Reynolda is her home now and she wants to stay there.

My mom has been at Brookdale, Meadowmont for just about one year and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The staff are wonderful and caring and they always strive to make it a great place to live. We just enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day tea for example. The facility is terrific-super clean and cozy rooms. The best compliment that I can give is that it was hard for my mom to move out of her own home, but she says that now Brookdale feels like home! I truly believe this is the best place in the Triangle for my mom!

My mom has been in Clare Bridge for about 3 weeks. The staff has done a good job taking their time with her and making sure she's settling in well. When I come to visit, she always seems to be in a good mood, and she's not distressed when I leave. I have been impressed with the staff ratio in memory care (1:4), the stability of the staff, and the good communication with the admin team. The hands-on caregivers, who have the greatest impact on Mom's quality of life, are positive and caring, truly good people. The unit is small enough (just 8 residents) that the caregivers are getting to know my mom really well and trying very earnestly to work with her in ways that make her the most comfortable.

We love it here. The people, service and food are all great and that is just a few things we love most about the community. The price increase for this year was a bit high but was able to negotiate which I did not know was something routinely done.

I love living at Brookdale Richland. They all respect our choices and preferences on care and dining. My apt is clean and always feel safe. The staff and other residents are amazing and friendly.

My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Virginia Beach and most everything about the facility/experience was great. My only complaint was that their call buttons did not work. Otherwise, everything was great. The staff was wonderful. I would recommend Brookdale Virginia Beach to others.

We found all of the staff at Brookdale Sakonnet Bay extremely helpful and caring. My dad moved in first and my mom moved in after finishing a rehab stint. Unfortunately, she passed after just being there for a very short time. The staff and other residents were very caring and supportive. Some staff even came to the visiting hours. The staff communicated with us about dad very well and genuinely cared about my dad. It is wonderful knowing that my dad has a supportive community during this difficult time, is fed well and his room is deep cleaned once a week. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone with an elder parent. There are now many new younger residents moving in, too.

Mom moved in a year ago. I could not pick a better place for her to live. Facilities top notch, activities are great , people are world class. Could not recommend more. Mom rates the place 10/10 in all categories as well .

I am happily at home at Brookdale for almost l2 years. Thank you for your efforts to assist families in finding alternate homes for their older family members. Thank you. I was living in AZ at the time and my daughter and son in law looked at over 10 facilities and kept coming back to Brookdale East. They said they found BE to be filled with friendly residents and outstanding staff. I have come HOME!.

It was a good value, was pretty clean, and they were easy to deal with.

Brookdale was perfect for my parents and they have settled in. It is always traumatic when seniors are told they are not safe and are struggling with daily activities so they must go to senior living facilities. My dad has slight dementia and my mom doesn't have good mobility. My dad was admitted to memory care but now evaluations show he just needs assisted living with my mom. They are both happy being together and Brookdale offers both, so they don't have to be moved anywhere else if their care needs change.

We were referred to Brookdale by a medical provider who travels to multiple care facilities in the area. Brookdale is a small, caring community. Staff is highly involved and the property is well-maintained. My loved one is well cared for and content.

My mom is currently a resident at Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks. The only thing that I've ever had a problem with is the laundry service. They have lost three items, but they are looking for them. Other than that, I can't talk highly enough about them. They are taking such good care of my mom, I couldn't be happier. My mom is extremely happy there.

The community is like a big family. They look out for each other and sincerely care about each other. The staff is amazing too. We are so happy we found Brookdale for my parents.
