Brookdale

My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Findlay and his experience at this facility was very positive. They took excellent care of him. Based on our experience, I would definitely recommend Brookdale Findlay to others.

I have lived here since 2022, and this is my home. There are a lot of staff that have been here since before I came, like [name removed] and [name removed], and some other really great ones like [name removed], and [name removed] I can really count on. [name removed] drives me to dialysis and she is a good one too. I have friends here and we have a lot of fun with [name removed] the activity girl. I would recommend this place to anyone.

It is a nice quiet community with extremely nice employees and wonderful residents. I enjoy sending time in the common areas and in the dining room with fellow residents. The food is very good and the variety is a big positive as well! I’m really glad I made the transition here as I’m more active and I’m much more social!

Since my loved one was in memory care a lot of things don't apply. I really have nothing negative to say about the staff or the facility. It was a nice place.

I can only praise these people. Every employee there goes out if their way to help my mom in every way possible. Each employee hugs me when I walk into the facility. It is like we are all family. They go out of their way to make sure my mom's room is clean, like come in there several times a day to tidy up, They change her bed very often because of her incontinence problems, they keep her clean and wash all of her clothes, they are constantly coming to her room to encourage her to do the activities. The maintenance man is more than that. He will bend over backwards to help in anyway possible, the director is absolutely wonderful and runs the place as smooth as a bell. The food is wonderful (home cooked). I can't say enough positive about everyone. They have a nurse there everyday. They have all become our family. There are only around 35 residents, so that is nice because you know they have enough employees to take care of everyone. I would recommend this place 100%.

My parents are exceptionally happy where they are at. The care givers and other staff go above and beyond to give good care and everyone is kind. Based on the experience we have had so far we have already recommended Brookdale Brookhurst to others and will continue to do so!

I am a friend of a resident living at brookdale for a couple years. Whenever I visit, I am greeted by staff with a welcoming smile without fail. Ive seen the care team go out of their way to ensure my friend was comfortable when she fell ill. They keep her space clean and tidy. They also offer a bunch of different activities for the residents to be engaged with one another, but also guests! I am always invited to play bingo or whatever is going on when I visit. Ive seen my friends life improve tremendously. 10/10

Absolutely without hesitation recommend Brookdale Camino Del Sol. What I would say to a friend, professional staff working to make residents comfortable. Family constantly informed and welcomed. Nursing, dr and hospice staff knowledgeable and caring. If an issue arose, promptly dealt with and resolved.

The cleanliness has gone down hill since they lost a very friendly and good housekeeper. The friendliness of the staff and people are what made us decide on Brookdale. [name removed] broke her shoulder this past Sunday and we are now finding out the quality of care Brookdale has. It is outstanding! Not sure what other places are charging, but I do know there is a lot of upkeep to be done. There are many things, inside and outside, that need to be fixed, painted or replaced.

What our family liked the most about Brookdale West Orange is there staff. The staff was very kind and accommodating. My mother in law passed almost a year ago but while she was there, we were very happy. We would recommend them to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

Brookdale is always very clean and excellent house keeper. The aides and muses are very good. Everyone is responsive and reaches out to family when needed. It feels like a caring family and this is highly valued. There are three areas for improvement. more attention/training and care is needed to monitor the patient’s daily developments that may seem minor but can/do develop into bigger health issues. Second, the food selection is not great and could be healthier. More fruit and easier to eat selections. Third, more regular exercise by aides should be required and hiring a full time social aide is important. The previous left and is not replaced. Finally, the extra costs for services that are not always need seems unfair and is costly for elderly on a fixed income.

Our sister has been in both assisted living and then memory care buildings. She has enjoyed both experiences. Caring staff and very clean. She has been at Brookdale a total of 9 years. We are glad we choose Brookdale for her care.

Low key facility. They have activities but not an overwhelming amount. Perfect place for a low key personality. Small size of residents also makes the personal attention very nice. This was the best fit for us.

We have attended many activities with our dad/grandpa, who lives at Brookside, that Brookside has planned and provided for residents and their families. Events are always well organized, fun, and engaging, and meals are delicious. Staff is always friendly and interacts with residents and their families, creating a wonderful family atmosphere. I appreciate these events, as it gives me a chance to participate in a fun experience with my dad. It gives me great comfort, knowing my dad is living in an environment that is the next best thing to home.

Came for a barbecue and a visit with my dad who lives here. It was wonderfully decorated, and everyone was friendly and pleasant. My dad is very well taken care of, and the staff is very attentive and knowledgeable.

Really nice to see a facility that puts a lot of care in the residents. A lot of very kind staff that go out of their way to make the family members and residents happy and have them feel at home. Really enjoyed the music experience. Really made the residents smile.

Brookdale Georgetown was a nice facility, but it needs serious updating. The staff was super nice, but the activities were slim to none. It is not a very big facility, though. It seemed like it was mostly religious and my loved one doesn't do religious stuff. It felt like more of a nursing home setting, my loved one was not ready for that. I cannot say anything about the meals, but my loved one said that they were good. Would I recommend it, yes. But only to somebody who is a lot less active than my loved one. It really needs to be updated.
