Brookdale

In March 2015 we needed to get Mom into assisted living with no notice or planning. Luckily, my Mom through her experience visiting friends knew she wanted to be at the Cape May Court House location that years ago became part of the Brookdale family of care. It took only a week from the first conversation to moving Mom in. As of today my Mom is the second longest resident at Brookdale Cape May! Through my observations and experiences it's clear Brookdale Cape May eclipses any other facility I've ever visited or experienced. Their attentiveness, care, and interaction with my Mom is excellent. Every staff member, regardless of their role or position, greets every resident whenever they pass by. Brookdale Cape May's interaction with family member is also above par with frequent emails, when visiting Mom, and social events open to family members. Through COVID they held weekly Zoom teleconference calls with updates and to field questions. Brookdale Cape May is where I'd want to be!

My mother spent the past year in Brookdale on Dickinson in the memory care. She passed away 2 weeks ago We had Gentiva hospice in place and The staff at Brookdale were wonderful. I will say that the food was not very good.

I've gained about 100lbs with the food here.

Brookdale is a wonderful place to know you're cared for. You've changed your lifestyle coming from being home or on your own, but soon you'll see being at Brookdale you'll have a feeling of comfort and care. You can feel safe at all times and know that each day will be a better day for you moving forward. This place is a home away from home. It becomes your home once you settle in. Brookdale is kind, it is loving and supportive of you and your change in life. The director since her return, has made such positive changes in what Brookdale Wayne is all about, and they should be glad to have her on their team.

Everyone at Brookdale is very understanding and very helpful. They have wonderful activities for everyone. The food is very good. The place Brookdale is very clean. All the caregivers are wonderful.

Brookdale at grand court is amazing from staff to clients. So kind and helpful. They go up and beyond . The best place ever. The facility is surrounded by shopping plaza. Including one block from Walmart. Thank you for the recommendation

I have been coming into this facility for a very long time as a nurse from an outside company and I have seen it go through many changes. But right now it is the BEST it has ever been. The office staff and the care staff are the most loving and caring people there is. Every one of the employees goes above and beyond to make sure that all of the residents are taken care of. They work very well with the families and the outside care companies to make sure the residents have everything they want and need.

I was extremely pleased with staff, facilities & all other aspects of the living facilities. My family member is happy in her current living situation. She is active within her environment more than she'd had been when living alone in her own home

Overall experience was GREAT! For cleanliness, Mom was a challenge in showers and would "not need one" as she would say lol! And they didn't push her. Which is good but I would have pushed her. Then again, being her daughter I could have done that. The staff was respectful and tried to a degree so you could say all good on this topic. Friendliness of staff is great. All were great - mom was a handful and very opinionated. They took that in stride and rolled right along with her. Meals and dining were great. Mom wasn't that picky of an eater. She never complained about any of the meals. Quality of care was great. Mom was self sufficient in the beginning and it was fine. She had several falls (14 while there) and required some "extra TLC" when she would return. The staff was fabulous! The only negative I would say here was that she'd argue or not take her pills sometimes. Another item I would have pushed but as her daughter. She could get mad at me. For activities, Assisted living aide had a lot to do. I'm not so sure mom participated in everything. She LOVED Bingo. And I mean LOVED it. She could have had more Bingo days lol! Value for cost is great. Alzheimer's and Memory care are expensive. Regardless. We didn't have a choice and thank the Lord we were blessed for her inheritance from her sister/my aunt. That allowed me to pick the facility based on facility and not cost. I visited others that were cheaper but I chose Brookdale because of the building, the staff, the warm homey feel in the building and the busy atmosphere. Not to mention the place did not smell of urine or "old". If you know what I mean. (No disrespect for elders). It was a warm inviting lobby when you went to visit AND the best part, the residents were so friendly and they all genuinely loved their home. Great experience overall. The staff from management all the way to med techs have a deep love for their job and it shows. Very personable with all the residents. Highly recommend as the staff and management are like family. They are very attentive to their residents. They know them by name and they know their history. The are like family.

They are great about getting the residents up and to the dining room and to the activities. I would recommend Brookdale Monroe Square to those looking for a memory care facility for a loved one.

Staff is really friendly They do a lot of activities to keep them going physically and mentally They also have events where family can come like last week they had a luau With a pig roast and hoola dancers And Mother's Day had a brunch with a singer

My mom has had wonderful care, and receives the help she needs with showering and other care needs. Offer activities and outings for lunch for the residents which are great and the staff encourages the residents to participate.

Everyone there is so kind and the care is so individualized to make the needs of the resident. Our experience has been nothing but great and I would recommend this facility to anyone just so glad that we found it.

My dad moved to Brookdale Tanglewood in April 2024. He's pretty good mentally but needs people to check on him throughout the day, & help with personal care, medications, & other nursing care. I first toured Brookdale on a rainy Sunday afternoon, completely unannounced. My husband & I were struck by the number of staff working - going up & down the halls, acknowledging and saying hi to residents by name. I visit 5-7 days a week so see lots of different people at various times. Caregivers, med techs, staff & management have uniformly been terrific. They genuinely care about the residents with a cheerful attitude. I'm not sure how management can identify such good employees & keep them. The facility isn't new or flashy, but it's clean, well-kept, with an amazing courtyard. The past many months, I have learned that the people - their attitude and competency - are what is most important. For dad & me, Brookdale provides exactly that. We are beyond thankful for them.

Having family being cared for daily by friendly and energetic caregivers gives life to my family member. She is very happy and her smile goes for miles when we are able to visit. I am very pleased with the families decision. Very happy!

Meets all of our expectations. Staff is pleasant and very friendly. Need to get used to having people so close after living in the country for 16 years. The facility is pleasant and residents are well cared for with compassion and understanding.

After dad passed away we all were overwhelmed but knew our dear Mother should not be living alone. We had toured and researched several places based upon recommendations from a place for mom. Brookdale Niagara Enhanced Assisted Living was our very top choice. We worked with the admissions director on the plan to have mom assessed at home by their RN. Thankfully it was a smooth easy process. The experienced and helpfulness of their team was so reassuring. Enhanced care was what mom needed and brookdale niagara was the place to be for great care. Mom is happy and my siblings and I are truly thrilled to see mom smiling, making friends and living a beautiful life. Thank you to all.

The group here really became like a family to me when my grandfather was there before he passed. They were always so kind and friendly and treated me so special every time I came in to visit him. He loved living there. It became his home and was treated so well. Made us have such peace of mind to have such caring folks taking care of him.

My grandmother was at Brookdale and loved it! She was diagnosed with a terminal cancer and lived out her last three months to the fullest at Brookdale Bristol! The staff was amazing and went above and beyond for her. She got so involved with all the exciting activities and made so many friends. Food was always great and the facility stayed cleaned. My family would recommend Brookdale Bristol to anyone wanting their loved one in good hands.

It has been great for my sister. She Is deaf and they have a couple people on staff that speak ASL and she had made lots of friends. It is kind of pricey but any place is. Always lots of activities very clean
