Brookdale

Overall, we are very satisfied with Brookdale. This is the only facility that I have had experience at, so I can't really compare this to other facilities.

I have had a very good experience with Brookdale. All I want is good quality care for my loved one. Everyone there gives all they can to help the patients. My person is in the memory care. I thought it would be a hard place to visit but find that I enjoy my visit because every time I walk in they have the residents doing something if it’s just singing songs, crafts or having snack time. They make their quality of life better. I’m so glad we chose Brookdale. I think you will be too.

If you are looking for active independent living this is a great place. My 96 year old dad was evaluated at the rehab facility to be in assisted living. He needed more skilled care nursing than what was available - unless we paid an additional fee that was outside of our budget. He was at the end of his life and we just wanted him kept comfortable. The staff are very caring from everyone in food service up to the directors. We had 24 hour phone numbers available by some of the staff. Again the nursing staff are very caring. If your loved one needs more skilled care nursing, this may not be the place for them. Assisted living but still want to eat in the dining room, it’s a really nice place and they make it look like a restaurant with cloth napkins and tablecloths, and decorations.

After ten years of managing Mom's dementia and Dad's old age at home, their needs became too great, even with external support. We decided to give Brookdale an opportunity to help us and our parents. Mom is currently in Memory Care where Shewanesh manages a full and supportive team of professionals. As Mom's disease progresses, the caregivers have adjusted to meet her ever increasing needs. I am secure in knowing that Mom will be cared for. Dad is currently in Assisted Living. He visits his wife daily and kisses her good night. Dad has made friends with other residents and is offered a monthly calendar full of activities, if he chooses. Dad's needs have increased in the 2+ years that he has lived at Brookdale. If needed, he can seamlessly transition to Memory Care. [name removed] , executive director, has yet to be faced with a problem she couldn't resolve. And we are NOT a problem-free family. I am grateful for her dedication to our family and all the residents.

5 on everything. I feel at ease knowing that my loved one is in Brookdale Murray. Yes I would recommend this community to other families. I also would recommend a place for mom. I only had one week to find a place for my brother. I appreciate your help with that. What a blessing a place for mom is. My brother feels at home in Brookdale and receives all the care that he needs.

After adjusting to her surroundings and settling in at Brookdale she really likes it here. It took awhile to get involved in the activities but now she looks forward to Bingo, yoga & painting. The staff is very nice and accommodating and we couldn't be happier with our choice.

Brookdale Pointe West is a wonderful family friendly residence. I bring my poodle to visit my loved one. (and all the other residents frequently). Thankful for all they do.

Brookdale has good physical facilities. Rooms are sized right for the patient. It is clean and well-maintained. The staff is cooperative and provides excellent follow-up when asked questions or presented with issues. There is adequate staff and they are well qualified for their positions. They are willing to work with families to provide programs for the residents (in the Memory unit) when asked. They demonstrate patience to let the new resident settle in before encouraging involvement.

The only thing that was disappointing was that it was so expensive. But the director and staff were great to work with and it had a wonderful family feel.

The transition was not easy for my mother. She was angry and at times depressed about being there. The entire time the staff was amazing. They were so supportive of her going above and beyond in my opinion to help her get comfortable being there. They would check on her throughout the day if she didn’t want to leave her room. They encouraged her to join the others for meals. And would even go sit with her outside when they saw her there alone Other residents were even involved as well making sure she was informed about activities. They were social and would go up to her and introduce them selves. It has been a little over a month and she likes being there now. She has even started taking a Spanish class. She is rarely in her room now as she is out talking with others and enjoying the social aspects of the facility Everyone of the staff has been so friendly ever time I visit. They are an amazing group of people

Each and everyone clinic staff did a wonderful job. It went smoothly, efficiently and no problems organized very well.

Brookdale Wake Forest has been such a blessing to my mother. The new management and staff are so wonderful, kind, caring and professional. My mother has made new friends and enjoys everything about Brookdale. Best is she is so close to our home and we get to see her often!

Brookdale Wake Forest is a beautiful community that has become my moms new home. It is clean, well run and the staff are friendly. The residents are sweet and kind. The food is amazing and you really do get a lot for your money.

When we toured Brookdale Bristol it was so welcoming from staff and residents. He had many opportunities for different crafts, card games and much more entertainment. This community takes proud in caring for their residents. If you need a community for a loved one this is this place you should choose.

Every staff member has been very helpful, cordial, and extremely prompt. When we have asked for assistance, someone is there in less than 5 minutes. The "culture climate" at Brookdale Springmeadows is consistently very positive, cheerful, and welcoming. Problems or difficulties are solved by staff in a coordinated manner, very considerate and patient. The offices of staff, nurses station, housekeeping, and hair salon are in close proximity to each other and accessible to residents. The dining room is especially pleasant. The food is good, and a choice of 2 entrees is offered. Meals are served to everyone at the same time after orders are quickly taken. Round tables seat 5, which makes conversations very easy. Meals can also be taken in one's apartment. The facility is clean, bright and airy, located in a nice neighborhood of family homes and apartments. A walking trail is close by, and the entire area is nature landscaped with trees, bushes, and intermittent small wetlands.

My Dad went from the hospital to Brookdale Grayson view. He had pneumonia and also has dementia. The staff and residents really took him under their wing to help him to feel comfortable. He had a hard time at first but to our surprise it’s 2 months later and he’s smiling and even laughing more than we’ve seen him do in a long time. It’s set up in a rectangle so it’s hard to get lost. There’s a lovely place to sit outside and Dads out there a lot. This place is updated, the staff is so great and Dads needs are taken care of.

We loved everything about the facility, especially the people. We were welcomed by genuine and friendly staff who were willing to accommodate our needs and concerns. The food was good and we loved the apartment. Unfortunately, both of my parents got very ill and were not able to enjoy Brookdale as we hoped. But, Brookdale will definitely be an option if we need care from here. Thank you Brookdale!

My sister was located in a different state, living alone, and having memory issues. Before we expected to move my sister, it became apparent that she was not safe any longer, and Brookdale facilitated her admission is a very short period of time. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty in welcoming my sister, and making her feel safe and welcomed. I am welcome to come and go freely, and they communicate clearly and efficiently.

Moved into apartment 2 months ago. Very clean and totally meets my needs. Staff is very accommodating. Not a new facility but very well maintained by excellent maintenance crew. Activities galore offered by excellent activity staff. Currently living as independent but accommodations are available for advanced care if needed. Meals are varied and even requests are accepted. Probably the healthiest I have eaten in many years. Oh…and we have offsite trips throughout the month that keep us active.
