My mother was in the Boulevard of St Charles for a little over a year from the spring of [date removed] to the summer of [date removed], I visited her almost every evening. She was initially in the Memory Care building, but not for long because her dementia seemed to really clear up compared to her brain functioning in the last couple of years of her living at home. So I moved her to the Assisted Living building after about her first 3 months there. I would give the Boulevard a 4 on each of the categories mentioned. I just have two complaints about the facility. Their laundry care was very unreliable. They have a small laundry room in each building and no dedicated laundry staff. The care attendants were responsible for the residents' laundry and it was definitely not their top priority. But I cant blame them because the facility was understaffed in general. So I took on the responsibility of doing her laundry at my house every day. The main complaint I have is that the Boulevard of St Charles is run by a private corporation that does not accept Medicare or Medicaid, so it is not at all regulated or overseen by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Since they dont offer Skilled Nursing and they dont accept Medicaid, I felt like I had to move her because she really needed to be in a Skilled Nursing facility and I was planning that she would eventually qualify for state Medicaid.

Food is excellent, support staff is helpful and friendly, medical staff is timely, responsive and competent, activities/entertainment are wonderful, but overall staff turnover and their attention to detail is a bit of a problem. Service in the dining room in particular is not good, and The Bistro frequently runs short of product.

The caregivers provided excellent care for my dad and were genuinely concerned about his well-being. The food was delicious and the ability to order from a menu was a plus for my dad. The environment was clean and comfortable, and everyone was friendly.

The people residing here have been very kind to my Mom. She has made many friends. We've been please with almost everything, except the internet service is terrible, and the lack of help trying to get a salon appointment when the stylist doesn't return mom's calls. I had to schedule that outside of the complex to get her hair done. We have also always had trouble since moving here when leaving messages to have any staff return our calls. It usually takes several calls to get a call back.

Overall experience - Helpful and kind in every way. Cleanliness - great attention to detail. Friendliness of staff - They recognized and called my mom by name from the first day and are always willing to make time to acknowledge all residents. Quality of care -Mostly excellent but a few misses during shift/personnel changes. Meals/Dining - Quality of food is very good and quantity is on target. Activities -Some activities are really good and most are as good ad can be expected with so many different needs. Value for Cost -Value is very good but is definitely on the higher end of the scale for assisted living. We provide all personal care products including hand soaps and tissues.

The facilities are visually attractive and clean.

I am very happy with the facility and friendliness of staff. Unfortunately, the response time on requests are slow. The rental payment app is not working correctly, but we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had.

Their weakest point is their dinning room. It took forever to be waited on sometimes and the food was mediocre at best. They did however provide good care over all. They also had periods where they experienced staffing shortages. So the staffing was inconsistent and caused confusion to our parents. They were supposed to do the laundry twice a week, which we paid extra for and frequently a week or two would go by and the laundry was not done. This would cause the stench of urine to permeate the apartment. So we would take their laundry home with us to clean.

The Parkway Senior living is a very good place for seniors. My mom is in independent living, where both staff and residents are very friendly and interactive with one another. There are a variety of activities to choose from. The food is great. It is very clean. They are responsive to maintenance requests. I do not have personal experience in their assisted-living or memory care units, but feel confident that the quality of their independent living unit is found throughout their communities.

It's a nice place, clean, good food but like most of these facilities, they are either short staffed or running lean on workers. Thus, if there's a hiccup and someone calls off on a shift, you or your loved one might be waiting a long time before someone shows up after you initially hit your button for assistance

Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend University Senior Living to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

My brother is 74 and has had a decline in his mobility among other health struggles. He could no longer manage stairs and we had to help him find a place to live that offered services he needed. Country Squire checks all the boxes and it feels like a community to my brother.

I've been pleased overall. They had a lot of damage over the winter and many of the amenities were unavailable. No price cut was given and it took a long time to get things back on track! Some of the help is not always patient which is unkind-especially for what they charge!

The staff, programming, and care have improved since my step-mom has lived there. It seems more like a community now. Also more dependability if services. PT is excellent! Based on the experience we have had, I would recommend this community to other families.

Know the layout. If a former hotel layout isn't your vibe, request to have those removed from your search queue. Verify wifi, A/C, bathroom fans, ice maker, oven vent/fan/light works in your place before you sign anything. Attend events to see if they'll satisfy your loved one's interests, network with other attendees. Ask other guests how long service calls take to get addressed, completed. Try the food before moving in, see what/how service staff operates. Verify all door locks work and check windows to make sure they open & lock Ask about trash services. Look at how places schedule activities, events, meals, trash collection. Are pet walking services available and ask guests how well the facility completes these services?

The carpet in the dining room and in front of some resident doors is stained. Most of the staff is very friendly and very good with my mom. She complains almost every day about the food. It seems they overcook a lot of things, to the point where she can't cut it. Honestly, she would probably like it there if the food was better. Sometimes she won't even go down for dinner because she knows it won't be good. FYI, even the staff doesn't care for the food. She doesn't participate a lot in activities. She does enjoy the Sunday service, and she usually goes to Bingo. It's hard to evaluate the value for cost since I really haven't checked pricing elsewhere. We do love that it is located away from other businesses and feels a little more secluded.

What I like most about this community is the activities they have for us residents here as well as the food that is prepared. Based on the experience so far, I would recommend The Montvale Senior Living community to other families.

There's no cleaning schedule for residents rooms. Same debris, dust, bugs, (soiled latex gloves) are on floor, not picked up for months. Toilets have pink and black mold inside and outside. Tried engaging local management, they promise to address but no actual results. Meal food is cheap, lots of pasta and simple lunch meat. No secondary option if resident doesn't like the main entrée offer. Staff might offer a lunchable or peanut butter crust less. Huge turnover in staff. Difficult to find the few staff members to relate to cause they leave quickly.

They gave a very good and thorough tour of the memory care center. The staff plan many activities during the day which is what we had hoped for. you can visit anytime! Staff are very kind to patients.

Staff is very un friendly. Food is low quality. Portions are small. Just because they are seniors doesn't mean they have to watch their weight. Some still have their teeth. Some of the services that were offered have not been provided.
