Prestige Care

So far things are going well for Mom. This was a very difficult transition for her. Staff at Auburn Meadows are wonderful at helping her adjust. Mom has good days and bad days. Auburn Meadows staff help her through them all. We have been very pleased.

The staff are very caring and friendly. The facility is very clean and well kept.

Very friendly but the food is not that good. Hit and miss. need a more experienced cook. It is no added sal but my mom has to supplement her diet with food in her room . They start to eat entrees at 4:00 and they run out of entrees. Nothing to be desired. She eats about 75% of the food. Day cook is inexperienced she doesn't know how to buy the right quantities. They have back up items like hot dogs, hamburgers. Overall its a nice facility. other than the food.

We looked at this when we were touring. It was very pretty, but it felt more like a hotel than someones home. Everyone was pleasant, and friendly. The food was really excellent. They just weren't as close to our house and wasn't the best fit for our personality.

I checked three places. Huntington Terrace had the happiest residents, the greatest amount of staff/resident involvement. It was the nicest, the cleanest, and the cheapest. Highly recommended.

We toured this place while looking into care options for our loved one. It was very clean, and the staff were all friendly. It wasn't the sort of care we were looking for for our loved one at the time, but it was still a very nice looking place.

Very nice community!! The problem was that they don't take Medicaid at all, ever, and we knew that eventually my parents would need to use Medicaid. The were out of the running, but not because we didn't like them!

We chose Five Rivers because it was close to my mother's house. It's in a very pastoral and lovely setting. It's beautiful inside and out. The grounds are well kept and the inside is elegant. The rooms are comfortable - it met our needs. I know there are a lot of activities available - they have shopping excursions, card playing, happy hour, entertainment... There were a coupld of times during the day when people didn't come in a timely fashion. I know they have a lot of people to take care of and meetings so there is not as much staff available. In a perfect world they would be there on the dot everytime but I don't think that happens in many places.

Care providers are great. Just one was rude and nasty. Told management about it and I have no idea what they did about it. Also, someone managed to order 7 DVDs on my husband's Amazon account. I have intercepted 5, but 2 that were delivered never shows up when I went to visit. No way to prove who might have done it. Had to close his Amazon account. He says he didn't order them. Besides, no DVD player in room. The food is good. Really. No complaints. I had one of the best cheeseburgers ever there. Room size is adequate. He has a studio with an entry closet goodies bathroom and mini kitchen area with fridge and sink and microwave. Large windows with views. Rooms are kept clean.

She's very happy living there. Then Prestige wasn't overwhelming with calls and were very upfront on when rooms would be available.

Everyone is helpful and caring so far. Plenty of activities, the food is very good and a nice menu. Apt is great for 1 person. The facility is clean and well kept.

A welcoming staff, friendly to residents and visitors is important. As a family member I Treat staff and residents with appreciation and respect and it makes for a better experience.

Overall the experience for my father has been a good one. The move-in process was positive and we had lots of help with making his room how he needed it. The staff is very responsive to his needs and issues. I would have given the overall experience a 5 but there were a couple things that were not followed through on. would recommend to others. The facility has a very warm atmosphere to it and the people that live there are very kind as well.

Building is a little dated but staff is great, meals are great. Apartments are pretty good sized and kept clean.

For the food options, maybe change the extended menu more often (this would be per my mom). For activities maybe more hands on activities but I'm really not sure since mom is kind of picky.

Absolutely would recommend to others. I really don't have any experience to compare it with. I think there doing a good job with Mom

The facilities is a nice, laid out place, off the main road that is quiet and feels secluded. The staff were all helpful, friendly and a sense of care in their eyes. The facilities looked up to date and free from scratches, dents and scrapes. It had a feeling of openness to it as well.

The staff have been very helpful in answering questions and assisting my mother and have been kind to my mother. Staff has also been good in answering my questions as well. The med techs have been very good in communicating with me when there is a problem. They have plenty of activities for the residents to do. The food was good when she first moved in but know they have a new chef and the food has good days and bad days but I think that depends on the residents taste. The negative I have is that it can take awhile for them to return your phone call but I do understand things happen. I communicate over the phone a lot because I live in another state and can't always be there in person. I have asked them to send me the rent statement via email and that doesn't always happen. I take care of my mom finances. They are doing some up dates/ maintenance on the place, which is good to see that they care about the property. I hear the elevator is on the agenda to replace next year. The apartment she has is just fine for her. Before a resident moves in they go through the room and update, fix and paint it. Do recommend that people fill out the paperwork on inspecting the apartment before moving in or on the day they move in.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is okay, limited options. My father has been a bit unsettled for personal reasons so not participating yet in activities. It is not cheap but it is a good location (west side at least) welcoming staff and clean.
