Staff has been very kind and responsive. We are happy! We would definitely recommend. They made the transition very easy, coming from a hospitalization on short notice.

I would tell them to always have at least 2 people present when asking questions, also write things down. Take notes or record if possible what they say. It's what we wish we had done.

I can only speak about memory care. Some of the staff members are very good. A few nurses are excellent, some are okay, caregivers are good, and some are very engaged and check on residents hourly and participate in activities. Activities is 2. They cannot keep staff or keep letting them go for reasons we do not know. This area has been poor for the last 8 months. They say they are hiring. The residents are bored. They hired one person who is very good but spread across assisted living and memory care. Many times the memory care residents need to walk a fair distance to AL out of the locked floor for activities. While it is a nice change of scenery many do not want to walk that far. They still do not have an assistant wellness director who would manage the nurses and caregivers. It has been about 8 months without one. That is why no consistency among the nurses and the caregivers. Food seems to be improving although the snacks are mostly sugar and I have not witnessed consistency with delivery of snacks and hydration at 3 pm and 7 pm. The time between dinner at 5 and breakfast AT 8 am seems to exceed the Delaware health guidelines for memory care. We try to keep snacks and waters and fruit in my mothers apartment. The cleanliness improved but seems to be taking a back seat again. The flooring in the sunroom was replaced and all the dirty sofas and chairs were moved out. I heard that they are replacing some housekeeping staff. Monarch hired a new director. She seems to be more engaged with the staff and residents. The reason we chose Brandywine over the lodge is because of the room layout. The apartments are spacious and have a kitchenette, which is a sink and a refrigerator and cabinets while the lodge did not have any of this in the memory care rooms. My mom does like her apartment. It is sunny, it is a bit outdated, but they are renovating apartment by apartment as they become available. I did see some of the renovations and they have new flooring, which is much lighter than the old flooring, I have not seen any of those apartments completed yet. So overall it is okay. I was told by the director finding healthcare personnel is very difficult. So sad.
I had to ask staff to encourage my dad to participate in activities during the initial month he was there so he had a bumpy first few weeks. Once settled in he is doing well and we are overall satisfied with staff. Cleanliness is a 5! Dining is almost a 5. We joined my dad for a meal there and the food was very good. The only issue is when they get my dads meal order he forgets that the two specials are not the only options. Need to encourage staff to remind him that he can have one of the everyday meals if he doesn't like one of the two specials. Room size is good. All rooms recently renovated. Currently no available outdoor space for memory care due to their renovations of the courtyard. But that's no impact now because it's too cold and too much snow for him to go outside anyway.

Welcoming staff; residents were active throughout the facility and the rapport between staff and residents was personable. The facility resembles a 5 star hotel.

The moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by friendly staff, which made me feel right at home. [name removed] was informative, not pushy and made me feel my mother would not only be well looked after, but might not want to come back home after her respite visit!

I was impressed with the assisted living section, particularly with the upgraded rooms. The feel of that section of the facility was welcoming and the common areas were quite impressive. The individual rooms were bright, plenty of natural light and obviously designed to maximize space while also fulfilling the needs of the residents. [name removed] answered my questions and invited me to ask more after I have reflected on the facility.

Mom likes it there the food is good, activities are plentiful and the staff seems to be helpful and friendly despite being short staffed. It's better then the 3 other places she's been in.

There was a lot of engagement with the residents. The facility was clean and aesthetically pleasing. The 1 bedroom room was very small and cramped for two people. For this reason it didn’t seem worth the price point.

My husband and I toured Sunrise and it was an enjoyable experience. [removed name] answered all of our questions and even gave us lunch. The menu gave us a lot of choices - all good. The building was clean and the staff friendly. The rooms were a good size and the property is beautiful. I would recommend this facility for Assisted Living needs. My husband would fit in well here as he needs more help than I do. I need an independent living facility.

The current is certainly a nice community. There are plenty of different activities available every day. My Dad's unit is spacious, well laid out and has med-high end features. The staff is super friendly, kind and helpful. The place is clean and well maintained. My issue is with the food. Almost every single meal is served at a lukewarm to cold temperature. The portions are quite small and inconsistent. The variety of dinners served is really lacking and they serve far to many carb-heavy dishes. The meal service is very slow and sime dinners take over an hour to receive.

They just renovated the dining area. The common areas are very clean and the staff is very pleasant and caring. I would recommend Monarch Spring Meadows, I think it is a good option.

I had to move my mom quickly from a rehab facility directly to assisted living and they provided seamless support. Staff and residents were very welcoming, and my mother became acclimated in a very short amount of time. Spring Meadows also provides great value for the price, and I visited quite a few places in surrounding ZIP Code areas. The campus is beautiful, spacious, and feels very homey. Activities directors are warm and engaging, and the place provides a variety of recreational activities for varying interests The biggest challenges we had may have just been challenges we would've had in making this transition anywhere. Once Mom moved in it wasn't completely clear how to communicate with nursing, enroll her in getting services with medical professionals who serve the facility, who to turn to with billing and business related questions and so on. Perhaps a directory of professionals and who to call for what would be helpful to give families of new residents. But overall, I think Spring Meadows is a wonderful solution and I'm happy that my mom found her way there.

The facility was very clean and the apartment was beautiful. The staff was excellent. The biggest complaint was the food. They did not have skim milk, sugar-free jelly, plain yogurt. In other words, someone who may need to watch sugar and fat intake did not have a lot of choices.
The staff are attentive and friendly. The dining experience seems to be well done. In the dining area the tables are set with flowers. And the staff are very attentive to the needs of the residents. I've only experienced the activities in the afternoon They seem to be appropriate for the level of the residents. My mother is in the memory care unit of Brandywine. I would recommend this facility

Our experience was good however my mom complains about everything. The food is horrible and not nutritious. (Which is not true) there's never enough staff CNA's or APRN's. Everyone hates it there. She's just angry she is there and not home.

Beautiful place, lots of activities, decent food, friendly staff and Princeton is such a great area. The wellness center took a long time to get my mom's medication right. I would definitely recommend going to outside doctors. The administrative staff is friendly but they do not follow through on issues of being overcharged. You really have to stay on top of them and make sure everything is done properly.
