People are very nice, apt size is amazing and the biggest we saw for a great price. They do need another maintenance man. The one poor guy is overwhelmed and repairs have been taking a while.

My mom lives at the Mansions of Sandy Springs and I can tell you that we love everything about the staff and the facility. My mom moved from a huge house into a two bedroom and she could not be happier. They treat mom like a queen and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I don't know anyone would say anything bad about the director (including a problem with her "aura") but she is GREAT. My mom was very ill with the flu two weeks ago and [Removed] checked on her twice a day to make sure she was okay. She even called me to keep me informed. Everyone there is like family and I am really indebted to them for treating my mom one their own.

Mom is loving this community. The staff is good with her and she is enjoying the activities that they have. The food is good and she enjoys it. They are always having a meeting on how to make the food even better than what it is. We like that it is a brand new community.

This is a beautiful new community. The staff have been really great. They are helpful and willing to pitch in. The food is pretty good. They offer daily activities. This is a nice place and a good fit for dad.

My mother and I were very impressed with this community. It is one of the most affordable communities in the area, but also has wonderful amenities, large apartments with w/d in each unit. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming, and the residents we met all told us they really enjoyed living there. Coty Edwards is the young lady we met with who gave us the tour. My mother liked her immediately, and she was a pleasure to work with. I plan to recommend to my friends and others looking for a community in the Atlanta area.

I moved into The Mansions at Sandy Springs on Feb 20, 2015. As with any move into a new residence there have been a few minor "bumps", but the staff are quick to get these corrected. The staff from custodians, kitchen, office and director are friendly and helpful. The food is good and seasoned appropriately, (not bland) and they have made extra efforts to accommodate my slightly flexible/vegetarian lifestyle. I highly recommend The Mansions at Sandy Springs, Ga.

It's an excellent spot, I would rate them very highly. They are very attentive, and understand the independent living and retirement crowd very well.

Appears to be excellent value for 1 and 2 bedroom units. Jan Robb extremely gracious and most helpful. Brand new, floor plans very attractive, especially 730 sq ft unit.

Personally, I feel safe here. Once we can really come and go as we please and have family do the same, I think it will be a lot better than it is right now. Just like everybody else, there's been a lot shut down due to Covid. The food is okay, I just prefer my own. I'm finding that the things that I need are close by, and it's a good central location. I have a 2-bedroom apartment, and I love the rooms, - they're very nice sized. It seems like the rooms were a lot smaller at other places.

My Mom had been living here since about June 2017 and she absolutely loves it here. She was one that fought to stay in her home that she could no longer manage, and it was a safety hazard for her. Her first night in her new place and that all changed for. She’s made a ton of new friends, enjoys the many activities, and is very fond of the staff. Maybe your reluctant loved one can read this review and see the blessing this was for MY 84 year old Mom!

The staff here is friendly and helpful. The main building is warm and inviting, and our rooms are cleaned every other week. The food is mediocre but edible, with lots of choices to choose from. I love that there is a back door in each room that goes to a small porch and backyard. We have lots of activities, including exercises, crafts, bingo, Rummikub, poker, and many more. There is also a "swap meet" where you can get rid of things you no longer need or want and pick up things you might need or want.
People are very nice, apt size is amazing and the biggest we saw for a great price. They do need another maintenance man. The one poor guy is overwhelmed and repairs have been taking a while.
There are definitely positives here, but there are also ongoing issues that have made my experience disappointing. Staff & Leadership: There is a great deal of staff turnover at every level. Some employees leave, while others are let go. In just nine months, there have been four different chefs, and the dining room servers change constantly. Most concerning, the community has had 12 Executive Directors in fewer than 11 years of operation. That level of leadership turnover makes it difficult to maintain consistency, accountability, and a stable culture. The frequent changes result in inconsistent service, inadequate training, and what appear to be unrealistic expectations from corporate management. In my opinion, many of the problems begin at the corporate level. Resident Care: The community seems to be accepting more residents who require assisted living-level support than independent living. Many move in needing caregivers or significant assistance, and current residents often end up providing extra support and attention. As a result, the community feels like it is gradually shifting away from true independent living. Activities: This is one of the strongest aspects of the community. There is a good variety of activities, and the Activity Director does an excellent job creating engaging programs. Food: Dining has improved with the newest chef. The addition of an all-day "Always Available" menu, rather than limiting those options to mealtimes, has been a welcome improvement. Apartments: The apartments are attractive, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping does a good job keeping them clean. Looking back, my overall rating might deserve a 4 out of 5 because there are genuine strengths. However, my biggest disappointment is that The Mansions of Alpharetta has not lived up to the expectations that were presented before I moved in. The community I was promised is not the community I have experienced. At this point, I'm considering moving elsewhere. My only hesitation is wondering whether another community would truly be any different.
Favorably impressed with the programs and offerings. It seems that almost every facet of everyday living is thoughtfully considered and accommodated. The apts were much smaller than expected with little light. The decor seemed colorless and a quite dated. This was my first visit to adult living as a customer so my judgement is harsh. The personnel were very gracious and informative.

I enjoyed the tour. The facility is great. However, my mother heard negative things about the staff and opted not to move forward.

It was a good visit. They were having water issues with dryer blowers all over. [name removed] and [name removed] were very informative and helpful. Seriously considering.

It's a very nice facility and the staff seem great. The variety of the activities are good for Dad since his eyesight is very poor (he can't play bingo).but they do have classes he can listen to. He is a very faithful fitness observer so having a nice fitness room has been something he really appreciates. He has enjoyed some of their special events. Thy seem creative and fun.
For the most part it has been good. Lots of varied activities and exercise classes. Residents are friendly and helpful. Personally I think the dining room is the biggest problem. I've been here a year last week and we are on our 3rd chef and now new servers. Many of us feel there isn't much improvement. We are also getting a new Executive Director some time next month.
Quality of the property. Cleaner and nicer than other than the highest priced properties toured. Value.

I visited several retirement facilities and selected Mansions as my residence. Mansions represented a good combination of amenities and cost. The residents and staff are friendly and caring. There is a wide range of activities and outings. Mansions is in a wooded setting and a lake and walking path are across the street.
