Brookdale

Brookdale Fairhaven is a wonderful assisted living facility. Its small size, staff-to-resident ratio, services, food, activities, cleanliness, and cheery gardens and environs all make it an excellent choice for an aging loved one or oneself.

A Place for Mom helped me identify a space for my family member. I'm very grateful. Brookdale seems like a good fit and her doctor recommends it. Thank you.

The place was great. The people were extremely helpful and pleasant. I love the fact that it was on the smaller side and I love the fact that is only a memory care facility.

I toured thee we facility with [name removed]. She was very thorough, and explained the process and showed me the Brookdale Niagara space. I saw many happy residents, both inside and outside, enjoying themselves. If you have to place a loved one, this place seems very decent.

The facility and staff were fine. We are still wrestling with the possibility of, some day, moving from our home.

What we like the most about the community is the décor, and the interior design (roomy). We also like that it is pet friendly and the friendly kitchen staff! We would recommend Brookdale Hagerstown to other families based on the experience so far.

the whole experience has very positive experience for my mom I remember calling Place for Mom in February in a panic mode because I needed to find a place for my mom immediately. Place for Mom was so kind and calm to me. She listen to all my concerns and needs for my mom. Within the hour I had two interviews set up with Brookdale west and BrookDale in castle gardens. When I arrived at Brookdale West I immediately felt a sense of calmness. The administrations was top notch. My mom has been there for 4-5 months and is having a wonderful experience. The care aids are so kind and go above the call of duty to help her. The best feeling is that I can now be a son to my mom and not a caregiver. It's a huge relief

My parents have been living in Brookdale for 4 months. Since the first tour of the facility, we have been impressed by the attentiveness of the staff, the welcoming atmosphere and the lovely facility that has made for a safe and welcoming community. When we were looking for the best community to move to, the staff took so much time to talk to the whole family and answer our questions. The facilities and community have exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t be happier with the staff, accommodations, location and activities.

My dad was reluctant to move to independent living but once he got there, he loved it! His apartment at Brookdale Oak Park is spacious with floor to ceiling windows in the living room. He has a north eastern view & can see downtown Chicago. The 2 meals a day are perfect for him. Breakfast is casual (seat yourself) & dinner is a seated affair with [name removed], the kindest host! The location can't be beat: downtown Oak Park has plenty of restaurants & a Trader Joe's next door. A Barnes & Noble bookstore, too! From looking to apartments to move in, [name removed] was helpful & always accessable. I'm thankful every day that my dad is living at Brookdale Oak Park where he's safe & enjoying life.

Everything so far has been great. My Mom says all the staff are very nice and helpful to her needs. I would recommend them to others who are searching for senior living for their loved one.

I was very concerned about there being enough activities for my extroverted mother and the activity director spent at least a half hour showing us pictures of and discussing activities they have done. They helped me with a long term care insurance claim. They did a tour for me alone and then a tour with ma and me. They let us have a meal there and their dining director met with us to answer questions and later checked to get our thoughts on the meal. They also assessed ma to see what assistance she would need. They were flexible with scheduling meetings and their intake person was accessible nearly 24/7. We met with a resident alone who seemed to feel free to answer our questions honestly. Many residents spontaneously introduced themselves and were talkative. Residents generally appeared happy. They have the same physical therapy providers that her last residence had and ma really likes them. The place is clean and ma likes that she can control the temperature of her room. There are plenty of food choices and everything is made from scratch. Something that works for ma as she is an extrovert is the dining room. Everyone is required to eat at the same time and the dining room is full and noisy with conversation. As an introvert, I would hate having to eat every meal there. I do not like being in a room full of people.

We were warmly greeted, given plenty of information and time to ask questions. We were given a tour and were able to see the staff interact with the residents. The environment was attractive, well maintained and the "vibe" was warm and accepting. The philosophy was what sold us: the goal is happy residents, happy families and happy staff. They have achieved this and the benefits are obvious. The choice has worked out well for my husband who needs a memory unit. He is thriving, yes with dementia, but he is calm, well cared for and enjoying things again. I puts my heart at rest.

All are a 5. It is a very comfortable place to live and thrive. They are very intelligent and kind and we would absolutely recommend Brookdale Oak Park to other families based on our experience!

Choosing an assisted living community is one of the hardest decisions a family can make, and we're so thankful we found Brookdale South. From day one, the staff has been incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate, not only to our loved one but to our entire family. The community is always clean, welcoming, and feels like home. We especially appreciate how well the staff communicates with us. They keep us informed, answer our questions, and make us feel like we're part of the care team. The greatest comfort is seeing how happy and well cared for our loved one is. That peace of mind is truly priceless. We're grateful for everyone at Brookdale South and highly recommend them to families looking for a place where their loved one will be treated with genuine care and respect.

That's easy- a 5 for all 8 questions. Value for cost - though is for independent care, I'm not sure about the higher levels of support. The caring and thoughtful staff. And yes we would recommend this community to others, certainly worth a tour!

Id have to give them a 5 across the board. We are very happy with them. Mostly the core people seem to care. I see that they are a bit under staffed and bring in a bunch of random temps, but the core people are super friendly and are treating my Mom great.

We have been very happy with Brookdale. Everything was presented and explained accurately. We've had some tweaks but all have been approached collaboratively and with positivity. I would definitely recommend to other families. The staff is very professional, warm and accommodating. My sister and I spent quite a while touring communities and we found just the right fit for our dad at Brookdale. Thank you to your team for the assistance you provided as well.

They have a lot of activities throughout the day. They seem to have qualified people on top of the medication management. The food is good. The director is super helpful and friendly. The staff we met are all friendly. We are on a wait list for a specific room.
