[ Name Removed] was absolutely one of the brightest stars on Staff. The front desk clerks are always so nice and friendly. The facilities are clean and well maintained. My mother moved in about 7 months ago and has met several friends and she has become active in many different activities from exercise groups to card playing. Her apartment is absolutely beautiful and has been decorated to make Mom feel loved. Family pictures are beautifully displayed. Underground parking is wonderful, the meals are always delicious and filling, and her shopping can be done only 1 block away. I am so happy we chose the Brightondale Campus in New Brighton!

After looking at 9 communities and narrowing it down to 4 for my mother-in-law to tour, we are choosing Village Shores. We got the impression of a vibrant, energetic community. The units had lots of light coming in and some units have outside balconies, which was the real selling point for my MIL. We also like the opportunities for fitness and the on-site personal trainer. The cost is going to be a bit higher than the other communities we looked at but I hope in the end it's worth it because my MIL will have a more positive outlook and doesn't feel like we are "putting her in a home", so to speak.

It’s a lovely facility, but I would prefer a newer facility. I will be putting a hold someplace else.

The staff is very friendly and listens to their residents. The food is good. There are so many activities to accommodate all kinds of interests. The health club classes and fitness area are great, as well as the pool aerobics if you want to participate. Having a pool is a very positive feature. The rooms are a decent size, and the common areas are very homey and clean at all times. The shuttle service is a good option for local shopping. Medical appointments are limited to Mondays and Tuesdays. I've noticed this may mainly be due to outings frequently held on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The drivers are so kind and assist when needed. There is also other transportation available through Southwest Prime, which we use weekly. I would definitely recommend Summit to anyone looking for senior living. I have heard the assisted living and memory care units are wonderful, although I haven't personally experienced either.

They were very friendly and caring and accommodating every step of the way. The apartment was pretty spacious for a 1BR, even had a kitchen island and was pre-furnished with a microwave, full stove/rangetop and fridge. the HVAC options were... maybe not ideal, but adequate. staff was very helpful at all times. the food from the meal plan was... okay. cleanliness: A+. I think the apartment was about 780 sq ft.

I was impressed with the unit we toured, and the beautiful outside spaces. There was an event for the Alzheimer’s Association in progress when we were there, it was great to see the staff, residents and their families participating.

Village Shores is a terrific place to live. The environment Is warm & friendly. A wonderful place to live. Yes, I would recommend Village Shores.

The staff are wonderful and they have good food. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a place.

We were very impressed with the facility and the people we interacted with. While the building and different amenities are significant their locations /accessibility seemed easy to access.

I was very impressed with this property, being it's age. The apartments that I had seen would work for me.

The apartments are well maintained. Close to shopping center yet the property is wooded and has beautiful gardens.

We have been here for 2.5 months now, and I have been here on site basically every day. Even though the place is quite expensive, I am honestly ranking them as 5/5 for every one of those questions. I've been very happy with this choice - they have exceeded my expectations. For background, I am a physician, so have high expectations on standards for medical care. We have 24 hr/day RN availability, either on site during the day or on call over night. That allows us access to insulin administered via sliding scale (very important given patient is a type 1 diabetic). They also have PT and OT services available on site. I know all the department directors by name, and every one of the staff knows us. We are all treated with absolute care and respect (it is part of the corporate mission statement). The place is clean and well incredibly well kept. We even have meals served by course (soup, entrees, dessert) for lunch and dinner, and cloth table linens once daily. Activities are scheduled 7 days/week, with multiple options M-F (heavy emphasis on music therapy-type activities).

Definitely 5! I would give them a 10 if I could. Summit Place did everything they could to find my mom a room. While other places took anywhere from a few weeks to several months, Summit Place was able to offer a clean, fresh room within two days. We were actually moving furniture the day after we signed the contract. Mom didn't like being there at first, but she has come to accept her situation and has embraced being there. She loves the variety of entertainment— from playing card games to stage performances, she is always busy. She is so much stronger than when she moved in.

We have had a wonderful experience. [Name Removed] (director) has been so accomodating, provided us with a few tours, answered our many, MANY questions, and guided us on our next steps in this process. The staff is very friendly, the place is super clean, and there are plenty of activities and things to do to keep residents busy. We loved it there, and are in the process of trying to get my parents living there. Highly recommend

I was given a thorough tour of the facility and helpful information to take home. I also received follow up contacts. The location, however, was not ideal, and it was a larger facility than we hoped for.

The staff was wonderful. The facility clean and kind. Looks like you've done all your homework on making it a wonderful place for people to live. Great job thinking of the people and not just the bottom line.

Staff very friendly and communicated well. We enjoy the food, good variety and chefs do a great job. Our apartment is a one bedroom/den as that is what they had available to accommodate or timing. It is very spacious and quiet. Residents couldn't be nicer and they offer many activities to participate in. The pool is a great asset! One thing I miss is a small coffee bar like my moms in coon rapids had and one of the other units I looked at for us. But they do offer a refreshment stand with flavored water daily. Coffee can be made in our room. It is a very clean complex!

The friendly front desk staff, the many activities, and the fast maintenance service. Yes. Very happy with our decision A Place for Mom was instrumental in touring facilities! Very happy with the whole process!
