Nice facility.....a possibility.

This community was nice to tour. The staff seemed friendly and nice very helpful The community appeared clean and well maintained. After going over my mothers level of care needs they determined if they would not have been the community for her due to the high level of care and supervision she would require.

Our guide was kind and helpful. We found the facility felt more like a nursing home than an independent and assisted living place. The bathroom was dirty at 10:30 AM. There were messes in offices and an unclean table in the conference room. The outdoor space was unkept with uncomfortable furniture and a tiny area. There was a bad smell on the first floor. Only half of the apartments have A washer and dryer and none have full kitchens.

I was not at all impressed with the Redmond facility (Regency) The dining area/food was awful.Go elsewhere! We picked this community, because my loved one didn't want to spend anymore.

Regency park place has been an refreshingly pleasant expertise for my mom. She’s happy and we (her family) are too. They are very flexible and we feel her needs were always met and we’ll worth the money. Which was very reasonable too

My Father was only at this facility for 3 weeks before they kicked him out. I feel like they didn’t give him any time to adjust because he does have dementia. They are a memory care unit and it seems like they only want a certain type of residents. The residents they do have are all drugged up and sleeping all the time. My Father, however, wasn’t sleeping all that often and they didn’t want to do the work to care for him. I would not recommend this facility to other families.

The apartment kitchen takes up too much space. Has full appliances which mom does not need. They don't do med support to the level mom needs. They don't have the level of comfort I am seeking. Apartment is small, bathroom not well appointed and the room smelled. The menu selection looked meager. Will not go back for full tour.

* Granted - my internment within the confines WAS half a decade back - but, I felt obliged... built inside a virtual asteroid crater - if yourself or your loved one has mobility or pulmonary issues - they'll be restricted to the grounds barring Staff intervention... but, never fear - as, "The Grounds", are certainly a treat! just next door is the Redmond Nursing Care Facility; so - should you break a hip - your next stop is only a stone's throw away... and and and; right next door to the Nursing Home? a beautiful, nearly 1/3rd MT Cemetery you just GOTTA wonder, "was this [removed] planned"? I've kinda 1st hand experience as I stayed from June of 2010 through May of 2011 - until I was actually EVICTED due to an exacerbation of one of my determinant diagnosis for admission - after being railroaded when their Admin' (term applied willynilly, 'fer sure), chose to play the, "Danger to self and others", card straight up: if you are a "private payee; you'll be treated like Royalty; absolutely... but - if you or a family member / loved one is on the dole (Medicare / OHP) I sure [removed] hope you have attentive significant others - because that's the ONLY m/f'n way that any basic human need for companionship, interaction, and/or amenities will be met

Note that the most complimentary reviews are from 2015 and earlier. My mom lives here and informed us the place changed hands around the first of the year (2016). Her neighbor who employed home help was evicted - so much for "assisted" living. My mom's apartment has a washing machine that was wired backwards, so the hot dial gives cold water and vice versa. Calls about this to maintenance go unheeded. Housekeeping staff seem, in her opinion, less motivated than when the place was managed by the previous owner. The food has gone steadily downhill. It's now one choice of meat at dinner with one vegetable where before there were multiple options for main protein and side dishes. The other night they served Polish sausage and sauerkraut, period, great for those who like it, a complete fail for those who don't, or worse, those who have a condition that won't allow them to eat such fare. If you have ulcers, diabetes, or any condition requiring a specific diet you're now out of luck. Mom's been shopping for groceries and doing her own cooking but she's still has to pay for food she can no longer bear to eat. Corn dogs and similar fast food are now what passes for lunch. Despite this downgrading of the food there's been no lowering of cost to live here. My mom isn't the only resident looking around for another place to live and we can't wait to help her make the move.

My mom would not have fit in here. Seemed like a nursing home more than an assisted living place.

Sun Terrace Hermiston has had a problem in the medical part of their service. This year alone they have forgotten to order prescription meds on time and Mom ran out of her Hydrocodone. The med aides then wanted to substitute [an] Oxycodone. That is not acceptable and the question has to be asked: where did the med aide ([Removed], 2017) get [an] Oxycodone prescription drug, from another patients supply or? This has happened before and after numerous meetings with management and the RN, this problem continues to exist.

If the tone of a facility is set by its administrator, this place is in trouble. The administrator was impatient, walked too fast for my mother to keep up, seemed annoyed when we asked about pricing, and we could've sworn she rolled her eyes at us on our way out.

Dad has been there less than 3 months we have had 3 significant price increases totaling over [removed] per month ! We are doing his laundry as something always comes up ! All about the money here . My dad was afraid to ask for help called me crying in pain for fear about his rent going up, he was afraid to get medical help which he was hospitalized for. They charge for hospice coordination. There has been 2 deaths one of which was found a day or so later. They need to be investigated.

Areas we think they could improve on would be keeping the patients Medicines organizes and not lost or last minute reorder so patients family is on alert daily with fear of wrong dosage or misplaced medicines and doctors orders and cleaner bathrooms and better food to eat and more helpful workers, not just doing just one project. As it's not there job and not asking other workers to help patient.

My loved one caught covid here and passed away. I would tell other families looking to stay away from this facility. [name removed] was great there, the rest leave a lot to be desired.

The management at this facility was very unprofessional and did not follow protocol. Most of the staff were not up to par with caring for my father and the other residents. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone I care about.

It is not a bad facility but they could work to improve on the nursing staff - the nurse their misdiagnosed our loved one which resulted in the lack in quality of care and we ended up moving our loved one out of the facility

Don’t waste your time. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Came in to visit family and caregivers and the Administrator were talking negatively about a person living there so loud I could here the conversation and the name of the person. Absolutely appalling! I will be writing this corporation a letter about my experience. For that alone, the Administrator should be fired or at least reprimanded. This should never happen.

My Father had to go into Parkview Estates in March. He was just coming out of a Rehab center and we brought him to Parkview for a respite stay. We were able to get a good look at how Parkview operates. On the positive side, the senior staff are very nice and friendly before and when you arrive. The facilities look nice and the rooms are reasonably well-maintained. The food was very good during my dad's stay and they had physical therapy on site. The floor staff that help the residents are generally competent and caring. On the negative side, the level of cooperation of the senior staff went down considerably after our check cleared their books. You have to watch medications closely because they hire Pharmacy techs to help with the medications that are not well trained. The Pharmacy techs are inconsistent. Before you move in the Community Relations Director and Nursing Supervisor will tell you that Parkview is in the "Sweet Spot" between the two local hospitals so if there's an event where the resident needs to go to the Hospital we can have them brought to either Trios or Kadlec. This was untrue. All the rooms have emergency pull cords in the event the resident needs help. Before you move in the Community Relations Director and Nursing Supervisor will tell you that Parkview responds to the residents within about 5 minutes. The real average respond time was about 15 to 20 minutes. They fake their response time numbers. The staff go down an entire hall, go into the rooms were the residents are needing assistance, turn off the call light then tell the resident that they will be right back because they have another person that really needs help. My Father told them at one point that he just needed help getting to the toilet. The staff told him to poop in his pants if he had to and they would clean it up when they could get back to him. My Father’s stay ended when he had a choking incident. He pulled the emergency cord to get assistance. It took over 30 minutes before someone got to his room. By that time my Father wasn't breathing and had to be resuscitated. He ended up going to the Hospital and died about 10 days later. He did recover enough to talk to us about what happened at Parkview. He said don't blame the floor staff it's not their fault. It's the management and nursing supervisor. He said if he did get better, he did not want to go to Parkview because of the poor management and care. I feel horrible that I brought my Father to Parkview. Please take this review to heart before you bring someone to this facility.
