Life sometimes comes at you fast. One day your aging parent is self-sufficient, the next they need assisted living. Eden Heights of Eden was the best option for my dad. Along with treating him as family, the entire staff is compassionate, caring and always present. The activities director, [name removed] is always thinking of new ways to stimulate both mind and body. A local Girl Scout troop, musical entertainment, religious studies, and of course everyone's favorite, bingo are just a few activities. Excursions once weekly when weather permits, can take them to Nick Charlaps for ice cream, Tim Hortons for coffee and donuts, local restaurants and some light shopping. If you are looking for a home for your parents, grandparents or anyone in between, I recommend Eden Heights of Eden.

Orchard Park is a nice place. The activities director is wonderful. Although my loved one doesn't participate, he keeps asking and trying to engage them. If your loved one would participate in activities, they would like it here. The food is bland, and cafeteria-like. It's not anything to write home about. My biggest compliant I have is the aides do not wear name tags. So if you don't know who they are or if you cant remember their name, then that's just kind of too bad. They also need to respond better. My loved one has limited mobility, and can not walk. They are a 2 person transfer when they need to be moved. I've had several aides come in, turn the light off, not do anything, and never come back - I'm pretty sure its the same aide(s). They could do a lot better job at that. I do understand that finding reliable and good help is hard right now; but maybe if they paid them a bit more or offered an incentive, they could hire more people who want to do their job. Generally a lot of the people are nice, but they tend to be nicer and more helpful when I'm there versus when I'm not. There are a few who are special and who are good to the residents, but a majority of them are just there to pass the time. I've complained to the administration and they said they would address it, but it hasn't changed. Again, some of the girls I'm comfortable leaving my loved one with but I want to be fully comfortable leaving them there. My loved one has lived in several places, and this is the best place so far. It's convenient for me because its very close to my house, but Orchard park could step it up a little bit. I'm happy, but I'm not satisfied. It's not the best circumstance I could hope for my loved one, but its certainly not the worst.

It is a small community. I like the fact that it is on one floor, and a simple floor plan for my loved one. Overall the staff is friendly and helpful.

The staff in the head office was wonderful, even though they have nursing staff you need to keep an eye on things and make sure your visiting and double-check with the staff and make sure everything is ok. I would recommend this community to others.

Dedicated, committed, caring staff. Good response time, variety of activities, dietary staff offer a varied menu and provides excellent service. Housekeeping works hard to keep the facility and rooms very clean. Administration available at all times to address resident concerns. Staff friendly acknowledged by residents and family for their hard work and keeping resident safe and the facility free of Covid-19.

It appeared that the residents had excellent care. However the facility was somewhat dark.

The staff here did a wonderful job with our tour, they took their time in showing us around and answered all our questions, The community had a comfortable feeling, was nice and clean.

I found the facility clean and odor free. The place has a very homey feel. My loved one's room was spacious. The administrative staff was courteous. Most of the direct care staff was friendly and answered questions with knowledge. Some were a bit chilly but went about their duties well. We have only been there for two weeks but as of now there are no complaints and many complements.

My father is law had a good respite stay experience here at this community. For the most part they did a good job caring for him, and his needs. The only problem we had was there was a language barrier between him, and the staff. Overall it was good experience, and we will return to this community if we need to use their services again. I would recommend this community, it is a nice place.

A very nice place for my Dad. He is well cared for. A very nice complex with a lot of activities for him to do and experience. The rooms are very nice, and clean. They are large in size and lots of windows to look out. The staff is very good and cheerful with all the residents there. A very very nice place for anyone.

For the most part, I like the care that my brother is receiving at the facility, although it appears to be a lot of turnover. Staff are friendly and helpful. My brother has a lot of health concerns, so being able to be in an Assisted Living Facility is much better than Skilled Nuring. Atlhough he needs to be able to handle some physical issues on his own, nursing staff have been willing to help. When he moved in the facility was in need of some major updating. That appears to be happening now. Wallpaper coming down, fresh paint and new carpeting is going to be installed. The driveway coming in had several large potholes, but those have been ta repaired. The setting itself in nice and quiet since it's in the country. The Executive Director,[Name removed] and the Social Worker, [Name Removed] are very accessible. Overall, my brother seems to be satisfied with the location and the staff and that's the most important thing.
