Make sure you stay with the staff and make sure they are doing what they promised. They sent out an email weekly to update us about the community but return calls took a day or two to get back to us. They only called us if there was something wrong. I would recommend this community for independent living or assisted living if your loved one is still sharp-minded.

They kept changing the way they did the laundry, which was fine. But 50% of my loved one's clothes just disappeared, even after we tagged them. The food was not very good here. And they really didn't have much meal planning for you if you had needs or preferences off the main stream. I could see they had a lot of activities, but my loved one didn't participate. The management was very good. If you had an ear to management, they would help you out a lot. It's not like they ignored you. For instance, I wanted to put cameras in my loved one's room, and they were very open to that and helped me to get that achieved. Overall, after looking at several places, I'm glad I chose them. The marketing director was very supportive from the beginning to the end. I could run questions by her, and she was very helpful. We ended up needing hospice care, and they helped get that set up. The hospice service they recommend there was excellent. I got to talk to a chaplain once a week, and the home office would call me once a week. The hospice nurse was outstanding. It was like having a sister there.

The community was very nice and very clean.

We chose The Harmony Collection because I wanted her to be close to me and it also got good ratings for the area that it is in. The CNAs here on the 3rd floor are awesome, her biggest thing is that she feels safe here and she definitely does. As far as the administrative staff goes, when I try to get a hold of someone I usually have to email them 2-3 times before I can get an answer. My mom said the food was really good but she thinks that they have recently gotten a new chef and it is starting to decline some. I am very pleased with our experience and I would recommend them.

We chose Harmony at Hope Mills because we thought it would be the best fit and overall I just had a good feeling about it. I would recommend to others who are looking.

It is a very nice community. Everyone here is friendly. The communication is good with the staff. The community was able to offer more food options prior to COVID, and since then it has been limited.

The cleanliness of the community varies, but our loved one is now in memory care and we could not be happier. The staff is amazing, he is extremely well taken care of and just overall so happy. He is thriving in memory care, and we are able to get back in there and visit, they are all vaccinated now. We are just so pleased with the memory care, they are treated our loved one like they are their family members.

The biggest selling point is the 24-hr manned desk. When we called our loved one a couple of times with no answer, they were happy to check on our loved one to see if they were fine. All the staff is very attentive. Activities are still running as much as they can with social distancing, including movies, puzzles, and games. Our loved one says the food is just okay but is still eating all of it. If anybody is on the fence about whether this is the right thing to do, 99% it's the right thing. There's always going to be a transition period, but for us, in less than a month our loved one went from not wanting to leave her room at all to now getting out and socializing every day.

As far as the cleanliness goes, house keeping does not go in as planned or scheduled in our loved ones unit, but we also do not know the other side of it that scenario. The communication during times with covid needs to be extremely clear for family members. They have rules on how to pick up and drop off but it has never been communicated so you have to figure things out for yourselves. However, we are still very happy with this community

The CNA's are great, but I don't see them wearing masks as they are supposed to. I have not met the nursing director yet, and it doesn't seem like a welcome to our family type of deal.

Harmony at Falls Run is a good place, but the phone service they carry (Cox) is constantly non-working. When we reported it, we were told it was the family's problem and we bought new phones. Only to find out that once again, it was the Cox phone service. Distressing in Covid Era when in-person visiting is prohibited.

The meals are being delivered and served to the residents in their rooms, this is due to lock down. They are allowing some residents to come to the dining room, due to the testing status. I would pay close attention and ask lots of questions over regulations. Please read the paperwork and fine print.

I would want others to know to caution anyone who is moving their parents together who may be at different levels of care. Depending on the nature of the issues, they may not end up allowing one parent to stay. In our case, my dad had to go to the hospital and he was not welcomed back. I do not feel like they were transparent with the care they were able to provide. They do not provide transportation t=for my mom to go see my dad now and the prices have increased. The facility itself is friendly, clean, and nice overall, but if I could go back I would place them elsewhere together.

I chose Harmony at Vicotry Station because I liked the location of the facility and the fact that I could get an apartment here with a sun room attached. I am in independent living area and apartment sizes here are pretty big. I would recommend to others who are looking.

The food started out really good according to our loved one and the other residents, and now they get mystery meat and the dining room experience is not managed very well. If they fixed the food quality and variety we would give this community a five across the board. That is the only problem we have. House keeping is inconsistent but they are super nice to our loved one. They have a ton of activities, and they do their best to get our loved one to participate in them.

I would tell my friends that it is a great place to live. This is a friendly community as well. The food was great when I first moved in. We complain about the food more than anything else. You can play cards, church services, and more that are available for activities.

The staff works hard to make it nice for the residents. There are activities for the residents. The residents order their meals and the meals are generally good. The residents are friendly. Our laundry gets done and our apts are cleaned.

It is a really nice community, almost brand new. The only thing I don't like about it is the food. The service is good, they have all sorts of medical technicians and such as the like. They do the medications well. While in COVID, we haven't been able to participate or use any of the activities.

I would want others to know when looking into Harmony at Chantilly that the staff is very friendly. They have also been very responsive if there are ever any issues. Seeing my mother in law happy here has really been the best part for us so far. Their independent living facilities have really good sizes kitchens, so if you are someone who is moving from a home but still like to cook, this is perfect for you. One of the issues we had was that they say they have a shuttle service for doctors appointments, you have to work within certain perimeters with them because they only go to certain places certain days. She has an apartment in the independent living section. We were trying to move her to assisted living and it was very hard to get in touch with the proper people and it took longer than it should have. She also complained a lot about the food, she said things like it was overcooked. They do have a very nice dining area. It is a great place to have your elder parent for socialization purposes. They encourage that a lot at this facility.

When we first visited Harmony we really liked the overall look, it seemed very pleasant and was very clean. The room at this community are nice, and about average in size. The food is okay. We would recommend this community to a family or friend but with reservations. The communication really lacked, a lot of the times someone would not pick up the phone or we would not get call backs.
