Overture costs too much money for what you get. It is very poorly managed. The people who manage the community will look for any excuse to not provide the services. Activities are not offered on a regular basis, only once in a while they will offer a presentation or something. They used to offer a continental breakfast Monday through Friday, but since COVID, there hasn't been any breakfast given in the last couple months.

I personally like living here. They have activities that you can be involved in or not. It's generally clean inside and with dogs and cats here once in a while accidents happen but not so much. The people are helpful if you need something fixed. We don't have a main cook, but we have potlucks and soup days. I think it's a good place to be.

Beautiful, but not what I needed. It was not all inclusive. They also deposited my check earlier than requested and agreed to.

Facility was older but clean and well kept up. 1 bedroom was spacious and even had a small balcony or patio. Cost per month was almost the same as Greensprings or Goodwin House, although they were offering a special if you move in before Dec. 31 monthly fee was $2,000 per month instead of $2,500. It would be more sq. ft at Sommerset, however, I was looking for something that offered assisted living in the same facility. Outside grounds and location was good. Had to still pay internet fee and electric fee which probably was at least $50 per month for electric.

My Mother is very happy here. It is a brand new facility and she seems to enjoy the activities and get-togethers they have. They have a lot of happy hours and they are thinking about going to the ice capades soon. The staff is good and the food is good too. However, the only meal they serve is breakfast. I would give them a higher score but I feel like they opened this community to the residents before everything was up and running. The pool still isn’t heated up and the Netflix room isn’t working yet. I would recommend this facility to other families.

My mother is getting settled into this community. They had some changes in the management and the chef of the community. Hopefully with these changes the community is run well. It is a nice clean facility, it is well maintained. The staff is kind and friendly. Overall it still a work in progress of us here at this community.

This is a nice community for me. I am happy with the staff and the assistance they give. It is a clean and nice enviroment for me. They offer a large amount of activities to stay active. There are changes here that have been done since I have moved in. I would recommmend care for other families for the care and value.

I live on the west side and the wind blows a lot and the building is a little old. The elevators are not that clean either, I think they can do better. People don't always pick up after their dogs too. For the value, it is about what you expect though.

This is my first experience at living in a senior retirement facility (advertised as independent living but with many caregivers in residence), and I'm finding it difficult to adjust to the restrictions, though they are few for my age group (early 80s). Also, I gave up driving, which has added to my stress and therefore to my adjustment overall. I think Sommerset really tries to meet all needs, subject to budget constraints and the capabilities of the residents. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The building could use an updating on the interior, and I find the plastic plants very depressing -- However, my apartment is comfortable and spacious enough for one, and the costs are affordable so I will probably stay put.

We had some mixed experiences with this community. They were amazingly helpful in getting everything set-up and my loved one moved in on very short notice in a time of crisis, which we really appreciated. We did have some issues with the overall quality of the place once he was moved in. His room often wasn't kept very clean, and there are certain staff members he had issues with (admittedly he was a hard person to get along with).

All units very independant with Kitchenette. Additional Utilities cost based on items plug into the outlets for lights or other appliances would be a concern for fix a budget.

Spoke with the director. They have 2 bedr. & 2 meals daily & transp. avail Tues & Thurs. for dr. appt. etc.Wkly housekeeping services; all utilities for 3895 mo. Will call back, make appt. to see.

Nice area staff were friendly, dont have the nursing facility rooms were nice, they have a nurse twice a week, orgnaised transportation, meals and dining room which was nice if necessary. No telephone inclusive weekly housekeeping which is good and a manned desk. Not sure what was missing but it just wasnt right.

The community was sold quickly after my loved one moved in. The fees are expensive due to the benefits they used to offer and now they don't and haven't reduced the rent. The community is beautiful. The management is in a tailspin, since the new owners took over. There are more people moving out due to the changes. They have covered parking for the residents.

We chose Larkspur at Twin Creeks because of the affordability and the larger room sizes. The bathrooms were too dark in the facility, you had to have a light to go in. We were right next to a hotel so there was quite a bit of noise. There were also lots of people outside the facility that did not belong there. The best part about Larkspur was that we made some good friends. It seemed more like a hotel here than a living facility.

This community did not enforce mask wearing outside of the residents rooms during COVID, this community did a terrible job during the pandemic. They had a lack of attention to maintenance needs. Our loved ones furnace went out of week during the dead of winter. We had to continuously call them and they finally told us that it was never going to fully work. We would ask for them to do things while she was there, and unless we did them ourselves things would never get done. The management was pretty much absent aside from the front desk receptionist. The lack of communication was horrible.

Not the best fit for my family member

Noble Village at first look is very attractive and has many amenities to offer the residents. We chose to move our father to Noble Village for the added level of care offered us for an additional fee. We are not sure he is really receiving the additional care we are paying for. We are concerned about his cleanliness and daily grooming needs not being taken care of properly.
