I think it is a wonderful place, my only issue is the food. I believe this may be contributed to staffing issues that stem from Covid related issues. Overall is a Great Place.

Our favorite part is the Atrium itself, right when you walk through the entry way into the big Atrium there is a grand piano with all these different sitting tables you can visit with your loved ones or just sit by yourself and relax. All of the rooms are around the Atrium area as well. They do have different activities - bingo twice a week, bible studies on Sunday's and they will take the residents out to grocery shop and to different restaurants. We think the value for the money is a good fit and based on our experience so far we would recommend The Atrium of Belleville to other families.

The community wouldn't paint a wall for my loved one, and this was disappointing to us. This is a nice place. The community is friendly. The communication with the staff is good. The maintenance team wasn't responsive to the request we made to clean the room. The family ended up having to clean the apartment prior to my loved one moving in.

The experience has been nice because there are lots of residents, and there are more diverse activities. The quality of food is not the best; however, there is a wide variety of food. There are three meals a day. It would be nice to have the dining room open after 5 on Sunday, ideally it would be open until 7:30 or 8. They will close the dining room early around 3 on holidays such as Memorial Day. There are full kitchens in the apartments for the residents. There are washers and dryers in the buildings for the residents to use, as well.

We had a little bit of a rocky start, and I think their communication with new families could be improved. But things have settled down a bit, and in the end, everything has turned out well. The staff really love my mother. I appreciate the cleanliness of the facility. And they do well with activities for elders.

I really liked this community. This was our first choice but my loved one liked another community more. The staff were very friendly and answered all of our questions.

Decent place for a loved one. Food is ok not tasty and gourmet. Plan way ahead if you need a bus ride to a drs appt make sure the ‘big’ bus is operating. Had a bad habit of not being working or the on duty driver can’t drive the big bus… WTF ? Major continuous turn overs . Company cares for their bottom line and not so much the people who live there

The facility has bright, open spaces and is exceptionally clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It's a little on the pricey side, but the resident rooms are oversized, which is nice. And his laundry facility is inside his residence, which is great.

The new director, [name removed], has made a world of difference in this facility. My mom was the third resident to come into the facility when it was first built 4 years ago. The place went down hill real fast shortly thereafter but turned around once the new management company and director arrived. The food has improved. They have hired caring staff that respond to call buttons with 10-15 minutes. The facility is clean. Activities are varied and enjoyed. The director and her administrative team lead with "resident safety and care first". They are professional and genuine. To achieve that, they hold the entire staff accountable. For those who have no desire to do their job they should leave and have. Those who have a keen eye for quality care, embrace their positions and can follow the rules of the road happy they are there taking care of my mom and hope they stay.

This is a good value for your money. It is a newer community that is well kept. I really don't have complaints about the community or staff. Sometimes it is hard to get a consistent person to check on my loved one and share this with family. The requests we had with my loved one hasn't been shared with all of the staff as I would have liked. The food is really good and my loved one seems to enjoy it.

Overall, it is good. The staff is warm and welcoming. My loved one enjoys the food, it is excellent. think that before and after meals the residents hands and mouths should be cleaned. The laundry comes that does not belong to my loved one on numerous occasions. Some of his sheets, towels and are missing through their laundry service. So, now he doesn't have them anymore. During one of my visits, I found my loved on soaked in bed. It was around 11 am, he didn't have breakfast. He had 2 pads wet underneath him, 2 briefs on on top of that. That is one time that this has happened that I know of. I don't know how much food he is getting. I get different feedback from different staff members. One said he was doing better and then another said they were having issues with him being combative. The staff member said when he is combative, they don't force him to do things. The staff needs to be better trained to deal with Alzheimer's diagnosed behaviors. The previous director told me they would take memory care residents on field trips and that never happened. The app sagely is not accurate. They would add my loved one attended something when I was there and he didn't. It would be great if he was actually participating in these things like they claim he is.

They have care services through a 3rd party. This is a good option for independent living. I would recommend this community to others for their loved ones. The staff is friendly and caring. This has been a good location for the family. The food is good and high quality for my loved one. The variety could be improved over time. There are special events and meals for holidays as well. The transportation is okay that is provided.

My loved ones started in the independent living section in a two bedroom unit that was bright and cheerful. The management team made the move-in process seamless and even gave the reluctant pair the option to move out if they did not like it. The staff was always there to assist while letting them maintain their independence. Sadly their memories faded and they made the transition to Memory care in close consultation with me. The move was seamless and the care team made sure the pair remained together in a two bedroom apartment. Similar to the independent living section, the staff makes the difference! While residents are in various stages of memory loss, they make a point to to meet the needs of each resident, offering various activities and mind stimulation appropriate to their memory state. They also make a point to get to know each resident and their families personally, creating a family environment. Overall, I feel very comfortable with my loved ones living here.

The Highlands is not a brand new facility, they could use some updated in a few spots which they are working on. Currently they have started updating the fitness area and pool area. The facilities are very nice and as to be expected. It seems like they are doing everything and have the tools to get things done. Our loved one does say something the meals are a hit or miss.

Everyone is very friendly. This is an older community. They sometimes have a hard time with sinks draining. The food is plentiful, delectable, and good here. They also have anytime dining when available. I came here because of the amenities. There is dancing, a library, a theater, a gym, fruit bar, and more for the residents to participate in. The coffee stand is good.

More activities are starting back up again after covid. Check it out and see if it's a good fit for your family member. It's a good fit for my loved one in memory care. The room is very small.

This community was too independent and not enough care in house for my loved one.

I think they do a very good job of cleaning, they do clean our apartment once a week and do an excellent job. The staff here are amazing, especially the waitresses, they are exceptional and call everyone by name. We are not too involved in activities, my wife is involved in a spiritual group and she really likes that. They try really hard on the food, but it is repetitious each week. This was definitely one of the best facilities that we toured. I would recommend them to others looking, we are happy here.

to anyone considering, I would advise you to make sure you have a lot of money, as Northgate Park is not cheap to live at or move into. assisted living communities can be expensive, and Northgate cost no more than any other place. the staff are pretty concerned about the people who live here. there was some confusion about a few things initially, but I just considered those to be growing pains. overall, my experience here has been good so far.
