I did tour this community for care. The community was nice and the staff was able to answer the questions we had for the needs of my mom. It is clean and the variety of activities are good. I would suggest other families tour this community for the needs of there loved one. We wanted a location closer for frequent visitations.

It is still a work in progress for us here at this community. They are trying their best to care for my mother in law and her needs, but we are having some problems. She is currently in the assisted living portion of the community. They think she needs more memory care, and would like to move her to the part of the community. That is okay with us, but I don't she will be satisfied with just a room with a bed and bathroom. Overall It is a nice clean community with kind people.

Jeff was extremely helpful and provided a nice tour of the facility. We are not able to use the Hearth as they only provide a 30 day minimum for respite care, and we only need 10-14 days. For long term care in the future we liked the option of a single or double room. The Hearth didn't seem quite as homey as other places we visited.

I would defiantly suggest that the staff organize tours that do not go on while they are in the middle of construction. My loved one was very distracted and it was way to noisy during our visit. The staff where friendly and very welcoming to my parents upon arrival.

Our loved one really liked the layout of the apartment offered at the Grand Victorian of Rockford. It is a very nice facility. The community is very nicely kept and updated throughout. They only offered meal plans for three meals a day and our loved one only wanted meals once a day. They offer a range of activities for all the residents to enjoy. We would have liked to see separate activities for the independent living and assisted living residents to make socialization easier.

The community was nice and inviting. They offered many activities for my mom to enjoy. However, the staff were very rigid. They were hard to communicate with and they didn't always listen to my concerns. I believe that they over medicated my mom instead of taking the time to care for her needs.

The staff was very nice. Housekeeping could be better. There needs to be better communication for policies and procedures Patients or family member should be made aware of changes in behavior and Doctor notified . Staff Doctor should be the liaison for patient in need. Some medical personnel should be available just to answer questions and the primary physician should be kept informed for serious problems.

To long a wait for shower help,mistakes in medicine ,and manager failing to respond to long termacare insurance(CNA) needs to process claim

Facilities well maintained. Facility is for assisted living only which limits possibilities if family member needs additional future care. Per the person that toured with us they will be adding a memory care unit. Will have to revisit once that is completed.

In general I think Village at Westerville is a nice place. The facility itself is generally clean and well kept, and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, my loved one is having a little trouble settling in. She says the staff will come into her room unannounced, and while I understand some amount of this is necessary in an assisted living environment I think they could work with her a little to find a solution she is comfortable with.

I toured this community while looking into senior living options for a loved one. Compared with a few others I saw in the area I just was not impressed with West Park Place. The facility seemed dark and gloomy inside, and I hardly saw any other residents out and about during my tour. I also did not like that the meal plan only included 2 meals a day.

You walk in and it looks like a hotel, a very large entry foyer. We didn’t see any of the rooms or any of the residents. We saw one atrium with like five women sitting around having some kind of discussion exercise. It was very clinical. The person who did our orientation – the initial sales representative – was very uninformed. The guy at the receptionist desk was kind of checked out.

Facility was acceptable. It was clean and staff friendly. I thought the decor was old, dim and un-inviting.

This is an older community. They would have liked to put Mom in assisted living on the third floor. Not a small enough setting and reminded us of an older hotel instead of a warm setting. Paula was excellent but would not be a first choice.

What struck me during our tour was how clinical this place felt. Everything was shiny and new, but also felt cold and soulless. It looked like the care they provided was fine, but it wasn't the sort of atmosphere I would want for my Dad. Another issue to be aware of is the lack of diversity in this facility. I believe that my father would have been their only African American resident. I noticed this was the case in many of the facilities we toured as well, so the parent companies of these facilities should consider looking into how to broaden their appeal to other communities.

The Management/staff is friendly and responsive to your needs. The facility is clean and offers many social activities and events. It appears to be secure and safe.

I was very excited at first. My contact with Paula was wonderful She was very understanding, kind and helpful. However, once my relative moved-in, I did see another side of The Fountains. There was definitely a lack of communication, both internally ( management, nurse and cna's) and externally(doctors and myself). It took some time and effect to get things smoothed out. (Details of which I will not go into), I feel better now, but I still have to stay on top of things. Honestly, I think that is something they are not used to. I have the feeling that most families do not get too involved once their relative moves in. I do have to admit this is my first experience with assisted living facilities so it is hard to rate them without the knowledge of how other facilities operate.

No ability to assist with colostomy care even if Mom learns daily care. This facility may not be appropriate even if colostomy reversed due to memory issues becoming more significant during illness.

Nice lunch not avail, small 1br, cable not incl. Have to pay full fee until va comes in . Has trial day mom can stay and try out.

Toured with director. Very impressed with "people-centered" program, bang for buck. Not so much with upkeep and spaciousness of apartments.
