Eden Senior Care

Let me begin by saying we had experience with quality elder care in Texas prior to relocating to the Chicagoland area. My wife, [name removed], and I spent 2 months reviewing potential facilities in the area and had essentially given up that we could find an affordable, caring quality place for my Dad. That is until the very last facility we visited - Eden Vista. [name removed], Sales Director, welcomed us in and focused completely on having us tell our family story that brought us to this point. That was different. Most every facility we visited was clean. They were very expensive compared to what we had experienced in Texas. They seemed to focus more on what their facility had to offer, which is fine. But [name removed] and Eden Vista focused on our family history and apparent present needs. That felt different. My Dad like the facility and the staff's attentiveness in the Skilled Nursing area a lot. They were amazing people who clearly wanted to be there. In the end there are many good facilities in the area. But what is most important is to take the time to visit as many as possible in order to truly find that one place that best aligns with your loved one's needs.

They settling in. Mom does some activities, dad did few bingo games but not really his thing. They have listened to some music they had come in. Casino trip was a good thing for them. They are independent do own meds so no care to comment on. Food is ok. Room 680sq ft . Weekly cleaning and bed change. Staff are nice.

The Woods is family friendly and host fun community events with a complimentary meal and typically entertainment. It is always nice to have something to do with my loved one.

Older, no-frills facility that puts it emphasis on care and service to its community. Liked the people and what they offer their Memory Care residents. Favorable impression.

I would give a 5 to all the categories. We are very pleased with Ecumen Centennial and my mother loves it here I like the building itself because it's all on one level. No stairs or elevators. It looks like 3 houses all connected by light-filled halls. And the gazebo room is very inviting. My mother's room is plenty big with a walk-in closet and bathroom with a shower. The staff is very welcoming and friendly from the director to the receptionist to the maintenance man to the nursing staff. All are helpful and available. The hallways and dining areas are neat and tidy. My mother thinks the food is great - I have not eaten there at this point. And although there are a variety of activities to choose from, my mother no longer likes to leave her room much. We are pleased with the decision to move her here

The facility is very clean and safe - the staff are wonderful. The apartment came with a stove and refrigerator and the size of a one and two bed rooms are very big.

The staff is great and the facility is beautiful. There's plenty of activities to get involved with. Mom says she loves it there. [name removed] from A Place for Mom was great to work with. He was so helpful at the beginning when I was completely overwhelmed by all involved with placing mom. He helped me when I figured out I needed long term versus respite. He made appointments for me when I needed him to. He was extremely informative and professional throughout the whole time. I talked to him about the tours and felt like he was a good listener.

[name removed], the facility manager, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She spent time initially getting an idea of my mother's living needs at present and as her Alzheimer's progresses. I am specifically looking for facilities that can transition from assisted to memory care. Centennial House fit this criteria. It is in a quiet neighborhood and in good state of maintenance and repair.

Without doubt, a 5 across the board. The care received in this smaller, homey environment was wonderful. She recently passed in hospice at the facility and received love and comfort from the Eden Vista staff throughout that long ordeal.

My parents receive a lot of care and attention. I know all their personal and medical needs are being met. This gives me great peace of mind.

Great staff. Very welcoming. Tina was a great help in making decision to move to their facility. Bjorn very helpful in getting settled into the skilled nursing facility.

The staff was kind, easy to work with, and ready to please. My wife and I had limited time to find a home for Mom and numerous challenges were obvious on our side of things. Without the talented staff that supported our visit, we would have never been able to make it happen in two short days, including the move. Our only challenge were that the moving carts weren't functioning properly.

I would give this place 5 stars. The help are all very caring. My apartment is delightful and kept clean by cheerful helpers. Food is excellent. Kitchen staff very pleasant and helpful. I am very comfortable here. Staff especially caring.

My mother saw pictures of the apartments, and loved them. I believe this will be the place for her.

Personal involvement and care by staff from the nurses to the receptionist. I would definitely recommend to others.

I really appreciated the last minute flexibility of the staff to be able to meet with me on such a tight turnaround. As we've continued in dialogue in trying to identify the ideal fit, they were accessible to answer any questions and was willing to accommodate a 2nd tour for additional family members. I also like the practical discussion of making sure the care provided meets both current and future needs.

Were able to find a place for my mother to be cared for graciously and with dignity. Yes I would recommend.

I found the people in charge to be very friendly, kind and accommodating. I am moving my family member there as a result.

We've had my mom on the assisted living side and she recently moved to memory care. We specifically chose Eden Vista bc they were able to offer both.Our experience with staff on the AL side has been phenomenal. They are friendly, engaging, and helpful. They clearly know and love the residents there. The room size is generous and it is very well-kept. They regularly encouraged my mom to participate in the activities. The rooms on the MC side are also quite large. The facility is beautiful and well-kept. There is a gorgeous courtyard that can be seen from my mom's room. We look forward to using the safe space to be outside. We are still getting to know the staff on the MC side. The staff to resident ratio, especially with their more complex needs, seems leaner than the AL side. It's entirely possible that this is related to staffing shortages as opposed to an allocation problem. They have been very responsive to any concerns that we have had. We visit quite often and have noticed the consistency of care regardless of when we visit.
