What we like the most about Somerset Gardens Senior Living is the nice building, good rooms and attentive and professional staff.

I am still very pleased with Decision to put mom there. She is doing wonderful there and has made much progress and is happy and making friends too. This staff is wonderful and they are always engaging the residence and enjoyable activities.

The staff is very friendly and responsive. My mom continues to be very social and they actively engage with her. My mom is not much of an activities person so when the other are engaged in games my mom will spend time with one of the aides. Food has been above average and the rooms and bathroom are always tidy. The most important is that my mom has a community around her which provides her comfort and dignity. Since entering her physical well being and overall attitude has improved significantly. She enjoys the music very much. I've seen her many times dancing while [name removed] plays the guitar. [name removed] has been amazing towards my mom trying to speak Greek to her and bring her snacks. The young very quiet aid whose name I do not know has been heaven sent. She so patient with my mom, colouring with her and engaging. My mom looks at her like a daughter. God bless all of them.

All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful with anything that my loved one has needed. They are very caring. She has had no complaints so far. The food is great and I see the staff members eating it too!

The place is beautiful, lots of activities and food is OK (not great). But, in the end, all that really matters is the staff. These people are world class. They truly care about the residents. They smile all the time. And are welcoming to visitors. Med and med-tech know their stuff, remember names, hug the residents and demonstrate the appropriate level of care. We couldn't ask for a better place for Mom at this time of her life.

As far as quality of care it's only been a week so not sure of that just yet and food would be a four. The value for the money is a tough one as it's a higher price we are paying with the higher level of care so I would say that's a three because it is quite pricey but overall, we are happy with it.

My uncle recently moved into The Chelsea, and our family has been impressed with the experience so far. From the very beginning, [Name removed] was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the process. He made a stressful transition feel comfortable. The care team has been wonderful, and the activities have truly helped my uncle settle in and feel part of the community. It's comforting to see him engaged, smiling, and adjusting to his new home. We're thankful for the attention and compassion everyone has shown him. Highly recommend !

It has a gym, pool table, beach nearby with a boardwalk, nice size rooms. Pizza was good, but residents I talked to said that the food was just OK. Place was clean light and cheerful.

The facility was very nice and very clean. Lots of activities are available for the residents and the staff seemed very caring. We met with [name removed] and she did a great job of explaining everything about Somerset Gardens in Plainview. [name removed] was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions regarding respite care for my husband. Also, spoke by phone with [name removed] and she was also very helpful. Overall, it was a great tour and we were very pleased. We may need respite care for my husband later this year and Somerset seemed to be just what we would need.

Everybody at the Chelsea has been friendly professional and will stop to help. The atmosphere is friendly clean. I know my mom is in a good place. Also they have medical services if needed. Example physical therapy and occupational therapy.

My aunt is currently living there, and our experience with the management team at Chelsea has been excellent. They’ve been incredibly helpful in getting new residents settled in and truly make everyone feel welcome. We really appreciate their support and care throughout the process.

Mom is doing great there it took a bit of adjustment but the place is clean, her room is nice, she seems to be satisfied with the food, the staff are very nice, and they engage the residence in a lot of activities.

I recently visited The Sinclair at Port Washington. The sales team was amazing and knowledgeable, making me feel extremely comfortable. I was able to see virtual plans for the big renovation. Everything is going to be absolutely stunning, both in the immediate and near future. The other staff were extremely warm and welcoming as well, from the concierge when you first walk in to the dietary staff and the rest of the management team that I met. I also got to experience the dining and I must say, the food was terrific! Chef [name removed] came out to introduce himself and he couldn’t have been any nicer. The activity calendar looked full and exciting with a lot of fun things planned! Lots of options of things to do.

The building was beautiful and the salesperson that toured me was a complete professional. When my mom is ready for the move, Sinclair will be our choice. Although we did get a chance to have lunch at the community, I was blown away by the menu choices presentation of the meals being served.

I recently visited and was so excited to see everything they have planned. The apartments are huge and it seems like when they go through the renovation they will be right out of a magazine, although what I saw was already very nice. The main floor is already beautiful and the plans for what to come are amazing! [name removed] and [name removed] both spent time with me and my family and are incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I had lots of questions. They asked us to join for dinner and it was like eating at a fine dining restaurant. That put us all over the edge. I have nothing but great things to say. Number one on our list! And the price for what you are getting is incredible!

I recently toured The Sinclair and learned of the upcoming renovations. There are new owners and the community is now "rental" which means you can just rent an apartment instead of putting down a large buy in fee. They have a few upcoming events which I will make sure I check out.

Incredible place! Exceptional person in charge!!! We loved everything . We are on the waiting list for a 2 bedroom.

The Sinclair is a beautiful senior living community now and will be going through an incredible transformation in the coming year. Residents are so welcoming and looked happy and engaged with eachother during my recent drop by during a happy hour. Afternoon happy hour with music and good friends is just what I am looking for An impressive community just a few minutes from Roslyn and so close to Downtown Port Washington. Recommend a visit to see for yourself.

Great experience on a recent visit to The Sinclair. Was so easy for me as I live in Roslyn. The Sinclair is perfectly located between Port Washington and Roslyn Right next door to golf course and so close to North Hempstead Beach. Looking for future for senior living for a dear friend. Warm, welcoming and everyone was so inviting during the hour spent at The Sinclair. Truly looks like a great Independent Living community. Highly recommend a visit.

I want to say [name removed] who handles the interview at Maple Point is wonderful to deal with. She gets back to you with answers to any questions in timely manner. She was so helpful especially since I wasn't sure of move-in date and we were back-and-forth for a couple of months as to when I was getting Dad here. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. They keep the room and areas clean and the menu seems good. Complaints about food from residents there seem to be because it's not the type of food they like, (they are used to) not how it tastes. As far as activities for the women in there seems to be a lot and they try to get them involved. They don't let anyone eat in their room unless there is a reason they're sick, etc. For the men (it's my father there )not as much activities, but there are two groups in sports and a card playing one that they can join. From what I see, there is definitely more women's activities.
