Bonaventure

Bonaventure is such a happy place. Lovely surroundings, friendly people and so much help in finding my Mom her new home. She is thrilled and I'm thinking about making a reservation for myself for sometime in the future! Mom had a bad fall about 10 days before scheduled move-in and they were absolutely wonderful about helping me with anything I needed to make her new home as warm and comfortable as possible. She loves it!!

We have enjoyed the staff and other residents who are all friendly. The staff are helpful when needed. The community is kept clean at all times. We get 2 meals a day and it is good but not fine dining. I have played cards and we are soon to try exercises. I was lead to believe they would have a minister come weekly but that is not all true.

The first month for my mother here was great. This is a lovely community. The community is very clean and well-kept. The staff here is very kind and helpful to my mother and her needs. The community does offer nice activities for the residents, and my mother loves the food. I would suggest this community for anyone to take a look at.

Unfortunately when my loved ones moved in, the woman who got them in lied to them about a couple of things, so my experience with them was not very good at first with her. She is gone now though, and everyone else on the staff has been really great.

We're very pleased overall with Cedar Ridge! The people here are very friendly and got to know my folks quickly. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they do a great job looking out for the residents.

We toured here when we were looking around and this was a very nice place as well. The only reason we didn't pick this one, was location. The other community we were looking at was a little closer to the doctor, and all the appointments.

My dad has only been there for about a month so, we are still ironing out wrinkles but, overall, it seems to be on par with the other facilities we toured. It's reasonably valued. The staff seems to be friendly and seem to genuinely care about the residents.

My mom was looking for a place to live close to the family but where she could still feel in charge of her life. Silver Creek has really filled the bill. She has a lovely apartment, with activities she enjoys. The staff is so friendly that she felt at home very quickly. I was worried that she would find it hard to use the shuttle to go to the store, but one of the other residents invited her to go together. Her only complaint is that everyone is so forgetful :) She is so much happier than she was living with us. She is more engaged and active, enjoys the activities and entertainment and says she needs to watch all the desserts! Mom gets to see us when she wants, enjoys people her age and have everything in her own space just the way she wants. It may not be quite as perfect as being in her own home, but at 93 she no longer wanted to keep up a 4 bedroom home for just herself over 2 hours away from all the rest of her family. It is wonderful to know she is close and happy.

My mom was just there for respite for one week. The care was good and the activities were okay. I think they have some activities but it's a pretty sedate facility. I don't know how many people participate but it seemed like there are about 45 people there, there might be 4 that participate in any given activity so it's not a very lively group and by 6 o'clock everything shuts down. There is really nothing going on after dinner. That was too bad because my mom is kind of a night owl and really enjoys socializing after dinner. Besides that she really enjoyed it. It's a nice facility, fairly small. Overall I though it was great.

They have a larger room with a separate bedroom from the living area which allows [Name Removed] to sleep while[Name Removed] watches TV. It is a nice comfortable size for them. The staff always appear to be friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my sister and her husband do not partake of many activities there, which was the reason we move them there. However, my sister does do the exercise sessions and goes on some of the walks they have. [Name Removed] is not motivated to move at all. One cannot get him to do anything other than sit in his chair if he's not sleeping in bed. His only exercise is going to the dining room to eat. But that it's not something they could do anything with. My sister has been concerned that she is not getting all of her medicines but I suspect she does not remember.

Very nice place to live. Employees all friendly and helpful. Other residents friendly and ready to assist. Very clean and well maintained. Restaurants very good. Creative food menu. Very clean. I would recommend.

[name removed] is settling in and really liking it. They need some LGBTQ plus training there because there is some hostility express by some of the residents... but she is making friends and enjoying herself now. It's all gonna be OK.

I was very pleased with the whole process and my Mom is having a wonderful time there. She looks and feels 10 years younger. The food is great and the grounds are delightful to take a walk through. Only complaint is about the staff turnover. I would give it a 4 only because I don't have any experience to compare it with. I was very pleased with the results and my Mom is very happy and her friends are very impressed.

Good communication with management upon signing up and during respite. Medical and other staff compassionate re: issues that developed over the stay. Disappointed in follow-up communication- took more than 2 weeks to have questions answered. Resolved in week 3.

The actual apartment had everything I was looking for a kitchen, a deck, closets, enough storage for me. Plus, the people who interviewed me and showed me around were very nice very friendly and fun.

Director is great but staff is not all well trained so there's a lack of consistency. If the Director isn't there, the care is not the same. Cleanliness is good, apt size Is great. I think they just don't have a great staff.

I have to call often to check on my elderly sister (I live many states away) and the staff is always patient with my questions. I would recommend it

Very helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are generous in size. Some with kitchen and in apt laundry. We don't participate in many of the activities because. they do not appeal to us. They have a theater, bowling, gym, pub, light deli items, intimate dining room for 12 person family dining, and mail boxes. Meals can be delivered to individual Apts occasionally. There are two main dining areas. The largest is for independent residents, and the other is for assisted residents. However, all assisted and independent residents can use either dining room as a le or desired. Memory Care residents are totally separate and have equally generous facilities.

Some of the things we really liked about Woodland retirement is how friendly everyone in management and the other tenants. We eat maybe three or four times in the dining room. They try very hard to get food the way you want it. They have so many activities that are pretty nice. Great library, movie theater that we donated about 600 DVDs. The office staff are great! Very helpful. A couple things we aren't really impressed with, the dryer on our floor takes forever. My husband washed two pairs of jeans, one large towel and two hand towels. It took three hours and the one towel still was not completely dried. We were told we had phone service just had to bring our own phone but no service available. Not much else to say other than we are pretty happy. The move was hard. We lived over 50 years in one place. Thankfully our daughter and son in law and nephew moved us with not too many issues. They have a great guy named [Name Removed], the handyman. He is a terrific help in hanging pictures and pretty much anything else.

They are trying to make things better, with the problems of keeping good workers it's tough!!
