Avalon Memory Care

Had a tour and the Admission Nurse that I met with was very knowledgeable and did more educating with our family than we have gotten from my dad's doctor. The building was very clean. I liked the layout of the rooms. We only looked at a private room. I also like that my dad would have his own private bathroom and shower. I toured another memory that only had a shower room that all the residents had to share. They had a guy there playing the violin and the residents seemed to love it. It was very uplifting. Avalon is at the top of our list so far.

I like the way they have all of the residents in one area, and recliners, so they are supervised. I like the size of the rooms. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and good to the residents. It's clean and it even smells good.

My mom has been a resident at Avalon FW for a little over 2 years. It has been such a long and emotional journey for us. My father felt so lost when we first moved mom in., but the Director always stayed in touch with him and for the first several weeks, called him every single day with an update of how she was doing. As she got settled, my dad didn't need a call everyday, but she gave him so much peace just by communicating, and it meant the world to us. She recently passed away, and the staff, they just surrounded us like we were their own family. No place will be perfect and nothing is like your home, but the warmth that they showed my mom and my entire family will never be forgotten.

Beautiful facility and amazing food, though Mom is on a liquid diet. I've tried a few things myself and would hire them to cook for me! The staff is so committed to the patients. We feel so comfortable with the staff and so confident that Mom is where she is supposed to be. We can't say enough good things about them!

My sister is new to Avalon so we don't have a point of comparison yet. My responses on numbers 6 and 7 are based on responses from my sister.

Admissions Nurse [name removed] was very knowledgeable and was very empathetic to the situation. She gave good advice and answered all our questions. Staff is very friendly and has good interaction with the residence. [name removed] is professional, caring, and very attentive. Does her job well! My mom is safe and comfortable. I believe Avalon has been a blessing for us.

The longevity of the staff. They are all wonderful and I would definitely recommend the place to others

The thing that separates Avalon is first of all is the design of the facility. It is completely open for all residents to interact with others. When there is entertainment all can participate. Facilities with other levels of function receive most the attention.

The patience they have. When I start to think she is going to drive me crazy, they come to the rescue and help my wife understand they are there to help.

I would give 5s to all of them. I was so glad to see Mom actually eating and enjoying the company. What we like the most about the community is the way the caregivers really care for the people. They are patient, compassionate, and REALLY care for them. They don't get nasty with them, they actually talk with them!

Watching someone you love navigate memory loss is heartbreaking, but this community has made the journey gentler. I was worried about the transition from home to this memory care home but it was easy. My husband was easily transitioned and is happy here.

The staff here deserves tremendous recognition. They go above and beyond—not just doing their jobs, but forming real connections with residents. It’s clear they care deeply, and that compassion shows in every interaction we’ve witnessed.

What stands out most is how well the team communicates with families. Updates are timely, questions are always answered with care, and concerns are taken seriously. The manager is always really good about communicating with us.

Moving my mother into memory care was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. This facility helped ease that transition with warmth, reassurance, and patience. Knowing my loved one is safe, engaged, and cared for around the clock brings immense relief.

The caregivers truly understand memory loss and are trained well. The manager of this house has been with the company for a long time. She is super sweet and is cheerful everytime we see her. Any time we have concerns, she is proactive.

I have complete peace of mind knowing our family member is well cared for at Avalon.
