My mother in-law uses the services of first light home care of wiregrass. As to cleanliness, they are 5 stars, but sometimes, they don't put things back where they got them from and my mother in-law has a hard time finding things again. in terms of activities and care services, I would give them four and half to five stars. I would not call them nursing assistant, because it's more of assisted care. not nursing or medical assistance. They take her shopping or help her with cleaning, cooking or anything heavy type work.

CNA was requested for facility, was provided immediately. Overall satisfied with the services and staff. Would recommended.

They seem to be okay. The person who does the driving for my mom isn't quite as good as the first person. The first person had a sick mother or something so now we have someone else. The first person was excellent. She was proactive and better able to manage my mom. This second person is a whole level below but it still seems to be working out okay.

It's my mother that used them to help care for my father so I only got to experience them one time but from talking to her they were really good. Anne was really good and really responsive.

As far as the service they provided I would give them a 5 but for the billing, I would give them a 2. When he came to do the assessment he said that we would need a CNA because my grandmother was a fall risk. The girl that he sent had taken all the classes but wasn't certified as a CNA yet so he was charging us for a CNA but sent someone who wasn't certified yet. He also sent us the first bill twice and when I called to tell him that we had already paid that he said it was just a security deposit. We went back and forth for about that until I just said I didn't need his services anymore. If it was going to be like that from the start, I wanted to find something else.

When hiring people for help to remain in our home they should actually help with light chores and not spend there time on the phone

2 agencies were contracted with. Right at home (3days) and Cornerstone. Neither agency appears to have standards for staff for basic skills, dress code, artificial long nails. Liberties taken by staff that were explicitly told not too. Mom A&O X4, related information to me. Caregivers only for nights. I was day caregiver. My expectations were not met by Cornerstone. They did try to work with me as I needed a good fit for my mom. Finally hired a nurse friend and paid her the same amount Cornerstone charged nightly.[Amount removed] dollars an hour. I did not understand that caregivers are only sitters. No help. I did not know to ask. Cornerstone owner was professional and responsive to my concerns. I wish I knew that caregivers are not Care Givers from the onset. Couldn’t do much. Just watch the patient.

The owner was very nice and helpful. He came here twice. Unfortunately, the 3 different caregivers sent I never got to meet prior as I requested. The first was good and did all I asked but she wasn’t a good fit for my husband. Very soft spoken and had accent. I asked for someone else. Memorial Day I assumed no one would come due to holiday. I get up walk in living room and see a stranger sitting at the table working on my jigsaw puzzle! She said she was a replacement. She was ok but lazy and kept going back to puzzle. On that Friday I had to go out for a couple hours. I had told gal the day prior that hubby would be home alone for a short time until she arrived. I come back and car in middle of my driveway. A woman was in there talking on phone. I asked who she was she said she was replacement for 2nd gal. So 3rd gal was outside talking on phone while my husband was inside watching TV. He wasn’t showered and still in PJs! I told AH I was finished. Sincere apologies from them

I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the nurse and the owner of Purple Heart. Our caregiver that was provided to us was excellent. I am very disappointed in the way that they closed their doors. They did release us of our contract and allowed us to hire our caregiver privately to which our caregiver agreed.

I did not have a great experience with this company. I was initially told it could take up to 2 weeks to find someone who could work so rural which i was fine with however it took almost 3 and when they did find someone, she came to the house for me to meet her prior to starting. She seemed personable and was scheduled to start next day. Start time was 11:00. I had an appointment and had to leave at 12:30. 11 came and went and by 11:15 i texted the owner asking where she was. She called 5 minutes later and had an elaborate story of how her Mom stole her phone, she just got it back and had just filed a police report. I told her if she needed the day to handle her stuff that was fine however she insisted she would be at my house within the hour. Long story short she never showed up so by 1:30 i just told the owner to tell her not to come. I expressed my concerns and let him know that was not only a bad reflection on her but on his company as well.

My only complaint is that I never know when they are going to be here. They don't call a couple of days ahead.

What they could improve on would be details about what is expected as tasks other than a general statement that says just there to help.

All the office staff and admin functions were great! The aides themselves often fell asleep during their overnight shifts. They would wake up when needed, but it was discouraging for the patient.

The two caregivers were knowable and knew what to do to care for my mom. I would maybe recommend their services to others, I haven't been able to get a caregiver consistently

There are a couple really good aides with this organization. The biggest issue I had with them is the aides don’t arrive on time. Some are relatively new aides and in my opinion needed further training. The office people are very responsive however I did not feel the help was worth the cost. I asked her not to send three of the aids ever again. I am a retired RN so I expect more and I feel very strongly about punctuality.

I had major problems with billing, including having to wait weeks for a refund after being double-charged for service Their service is not terrible, but I had to be present and help with all in-home care, negating much of the value of paying them. I wouldn't use them again, especially after the billing error and very slow refund, so I can't recommend them to anyone else

The caregivers were OK but they do as little as possible. The office service was terrible. They withdrew a large sum of money from my bank account without giving me notice. I called several days in a row and never received a phone call back. Finally I got in touch with someone. They explained the money was taken as a deposit, however, this was never discussed when I signed the service agreement and it was not mentioned in the agreement.

They were very helpful in the beginning but became distant and hard to reach. Unbeknownst to us, they were sold. We were never told by old owners or new owners. This change in leadership left us with many hours of care that were not filed for reimbursement with Long Term Insurance. A few times care could not be found and we had to scramble to find coverage elsewhere. We did have a great experience with 3 caregivers but overall the procedures for communication between family members and the staff was inadequate. We would not recommend. Also, My father is still missing his college ring, wedding band, another fraternity ring and the key fob to his automobile. One care giver in particular only drove the vehicle in the last 6 weeks. The day of death I contacted Senior Helpers and a couple of the caregivers attempted to assist in finding the items. No one from Senior Helpers has ever followed up on the missing items much less contacted us to offer any condolences.

The first meeting went well and I thought we would be successful. And while they tried, they never quite got it right. We had as many as nine different caregivers and some more than once. We never knew who we would get. I would need to call to find out. I was told that we would be given a call; however, that rarely happened. But in the end, those who did come weren't a fit for one reason or another. For example, my husband wanted only native English speakers. I wanted someone proactive; if you see something needs to be done (load dishwasher), then do it.

I tried twice two different health aides and both were not a fit. The cost and the service weren’t a balance. The staff made the arrangements. The first aide I had to call and advice the person they sent wasn’t a fit due to her about to do the work. The other aide was ok the first two weeks and on the third weekend she texted me at 12 pm to advise she wasn’t coming in but the agency never sent anyone that weekend. I had to call on Monday to advise she never arrived. I had to miss work that weekend.
