They were absolutely great here at Astoria at Oakdale. The staff members here went above and beyond for their residents. We had looked at another facility and they referred us to this one due to covid and it worked out perfectly. It is a nice a small community and they have 3 nurses to 1 resident, so ratios are great. I would highly recommend to others who are looking.

We were quite happy with the community, and the cleanliness of the place was excellent. The meals we were able to eat there were pretty good, and the activities were appropriate there was always something going on. While our loved one was passing, the staff members were there with us and they were very sympathetic and understanding. They were more than capable dealing with the multiple personalities of all the residents, they were so gentle and kind.

New community with a beautiful view (at the top of a hill). They addressed my concerns about brush fires and evacuation protocol very well. I think residents are very safe in this facility. Seem to have an excellent care system, activities and dining menu. The few residents I saw seem very happy.

From our understanding they have had no positive cases of COVID. When we were able visit and eat their with our loved the meals and dining services was very good. We would absolutely recommend this community to others.

The food has improved a lot since the new chef has come on board. I especially liked the shrimp salad and almond cake that I had last Tuesday.. It was all very tasty. There are lots of new dishes that I enjoy and they are very tasty. I have lived here for a year and two months. The staff is all very nice.

We chose Kingstson Bay because we liked the location as well as what it looked like. During the tour we thought it was very clean and they worked with us on the price. He was in a private room with a shared bathroom and it was very spacious. We ate here a few times before COVID and the food was really, really good. They were fresh meals and plated very nicely. I would absolutely recommend.

I moved in to The Landing at Carmichael during the Paradise Fires back in November of 2018. I didn't have much with me when I got here but the staff provided me with a full studio of furniture, clothing and gift cards from people in the community and in the senior living industry. They have all been so helpful since I have been here. I am moving back to Paradise on the same property where my house burned down. I am sad to go but so happy to be going back home. I am 95 years old and needed help going to my doctor appointments and with reading my mail sometimes. [name removed], the executive director and [name removed], the office manager were always there to help me. I stayed healthy and I can't say enough about how good they treated me. The other residents were always nice and we watched baseball games together during the season. The food was good and the happy hours were always fun. I would recommend this place to anyone who asked me about it. Now I am on my way home. Happy Trails!

The size of the rooms this community offered really stood out to us as well as the people there. It felt like home. We were able to eat some meals with our loved one before COVID and we thought they had a good menu, and the residents has different options to choose from.

We chose the Kensington Senior Living at Cumberland because my dad is from this area and he had always said he wanted to go to a facility close by. After looking at some close to where I live, this was a far better situation. The room sizes here were very nice. The food here was also very good, they were good, home cooked meals. He absolutely loved it. My favorite part about the community was that they were all very friendly, it was like a big family. They got great care and attention. I would recommend to anybody.

I am a resident of The Landing at Carmichael. I had the tiramisu yesterday and it was very delicious and different. Recently the dishes have been very delicious. The spaghetti and clams had real clams. The meals are new and fresh since we have our new Chef [name removed]! He's great !

I am so Blessed to be here.. this place has changed my life for the better. I feel like the staff is very helpful. They do things for the people who live here that makes them feel happy. They go out of their way to have safe events like the luaua they had the other day. Six feet apart with music and great conversation and friendship. Everything I need they help me with. If they can't do it they find a way to get it done. I didn't think I would be happy here when I moved in 3 years ago but I love it now. It's due to the staff and the residents.

The community is always clean and well kept. They are making sure to keep all the residents safe from the Covid-19 pandemic and have done a good job protecting everyone. Given the situation with the pandemic and community lock down, they do have activities available for the residents to participate in that are at a safe distance.

I am a hospice nurse and I am impressed with the compassion and clinical expertise exhibited by all staff at this facility. I love to collaborate with all staff members, as everyone has the patient's/residents' best interest in mind. I recommend this facility highly.

Really enjoyed speaking with [name removed]. The residence sounds very nice, and [name removed] is very caring.

It's wonderful! We toured many places and this was the best hands down. My mom has been here 5+ years and its always pleasant to visit her. Activities, music, games - she is very happy. Also yummy food and it smells nice, kind of looks like a high end resort.

Caring, attentive, and aware of Dad's needs both physically and emotionally. Excellent facility.

Caring, attentive, and friendly staff, great staff to resident ratio, developmentally appropriate stimulating activities, pretty comfortable, and cleanly environment, good ongoing assessment of medical issues. Knowledgable management.

Wonderful staff. They communicate often and clearly. Nurse-staff caught a health issue I didn't notice. Care is very loving and understanding. They know how to care for those with dementia with dignity.

Very nice new facility, ideally close to our home. Being new hard to judge longevity of staff. Visited memory care and saw staff involved with group of residence. Many nice amenities for the more self sufficient. Move in fee seemed high, and price for small space was on upper level compared to others visited so far. Because of location may still be considered .
