Aegis

[name removed] left the lodge in the early summer to return to her own home. The Pt program and the food were outstanding. Unfortunately the discharge planning and support for return home were non-existent. Staff enjoyed [name removed] and wanted her to stay. While the lodge provided a great intermediate step for her to gain confidence and demonstrate her ability to return home, it was not consistent with their mission. In terms of a permanent setting, it is a great place.

We were really happy with Aegis on Madison. The food service is a challenge for all, but we were happy

Overall it's been a good experience. My parents aren't big joiners so they don't do a lot of the activities. The food is moderate as reported by mom. Dad likes it. They accommodate his Celiacs. They are pretty good with the catheter bag changes morning and evening unless it's a new person that needs a little education

The staff are fantastic. Very understanding of family concerns and accommodating. My dad wasn't there long, but overall it was a good experience.

All 5s, except 4 on meals. They're fine given the audience but I don't visit my mom with the purpose of having an amazing meal! Overall they've been very on top of care, and are enabling my mom to live as independely as possible with advanced Parkinson's (w/o going to Memory care or needing additional nursing care yet), as long as possible

There is excellent care staff and nice activities, and it is clean and safe. The food needs improvement such as having more variety and fresh fruit available - just feels a bit like cafeteria food.

We shopped around and toured quite a few places until we decided that Aegis Living would be a good fit for our mom. They were very warm and caring. My mom has developed some sweet relationships with the people who work there and as well as those who have an apartment there. We needed a place that Was tightly structured with medication meals, and all around Care. Thank you, Aegis Living and all of you lovely people who have embraced our mom as family.

The community is beautiful, similar to a 5 star resort inside and out. The staff are kind, friendly and the individual care is outstanding. Perhaps they could improve on the food by having a chef that makes food fresh with less pre-made meals.

My sister is the 3rd resident in the newly opened Memory Care in Aegis Living Ballard. The facility is beautiful, the staff are amazing, and the food is delicious. If your loved one needs Memory Care services, I highly recommend Ballard Aegis. ??

I highly recommend them to people. They are wonderful. Aegis staff was very helpful.

They where very caring and my mom was very happy during her time at Aegis I would absolutely recommend Aegis Living of Las Vegas!

Would love to live there! Facility is BEAUTIFUL! Very clean and nicely decorated. It smells so fresh and clean. Delicious meals and menu offlers many selections. My friend's room cozy and peaceful. Also love the happy hour and great variety of activities. Definitely something for everyone! The patio areas are lush and so inviting. Lovely place to just sit and relax. The staff is first rate, kind caring and accommodating. Make you feel like VIPS. So basically I LOVE it!

We gave the activities a 3 but only because my dad didn't participate. Many nice options though. All of the above has contributing to making Aegis at Marymoor such a great experience. We would strongly recommend this community to anyone.

Well run facility, clean, and the staff and caregivers are wonderful. There have been a couple of times that my mom had a medical emergency, and they handled it promptly and professionally. We were considering 2 facilities, and I toured them each a couple of times, once with my mom and the second time I just dropped in. The deciding factor for me was when I showed up at the other place, there were residence asleep in the dining room, the staff was in some type of meeting, and it just felt disorganized. Whereas when I dropped in at Aegis, it was calm, residence were engaged in activities, and the staff was present and attentive.

The staff in the memory care unit was as caring as any staff could be,. They took my dad on trips as long as he was able. But don't think that you can leave all the care of your loved one up to any staff. Visit your loved one often. Also all memory care places are more than willing to let you take your loved one out on any kind of trips. You can take your loved one out all day. So don't think you are just locking your loved one away, and they can never get out. You Can take them out, you just have to deal with all the headaches, such as diaper changing possibly, that they are doing inside the memory care.

I would recommend Aegis of Carmichael. The move in process was seamless. My father had to be transported from another facility and Aegis took care of everything. He wanted a different room and they accommodated him and moved all his things twice. They treated my father like family. He was on hospice for his final three weeks at Aegis. His main desire was to be pain free, comfortable, and most importantly- clean, as he was bedridden. They did it all with tremendous care. I could not have done what they did for my father. I'm very grateful for them.

It is a wonderful facility and they take care of residents like family... that kind of attention and attitude is priceless. Starting with the General Manager down to all of the caregivers, every one works hard to give some dignity to individuals who have lost their sense of dignity and self worth. I have been amazed to see how quickly they have learned to deal with my wife who is extremely combative. They are slowly earning her trust...which is saying a lot and I have noticed that they treat everyone with the respect and dignity that they deserve. While the quality of the food is important, what is more important is how hard they work to make sure that the residents get sufficient nourishment for their well being. They will literally chase people down the hall with plates of food to make sure that they get sufficient sustenance. I was skeptical in the beginning, but I have learned to trust their instincts on how to best manage individuals for positive outcomes.

Staff are extremely friendly. The shared spaces such as the library, theater, and entrance are inviting and beautifully maintained. We enjoy the terrace too!

I would recommend Aegis to friends and family. I met the brother of a resident there while visiting my mother in law and he told me that his sister had been in 2 other facilities before he found Aegis. And he said they are so happy there. From my personal experience, the entire staff is friendly, cheery and professional. I am also happy to have my sweet MIL there. I like that they are a strictly memory care facility only.And I am grateful to have found [name removed] at A Place for Mom. She made the experience a bit less overwhelming and educated me. I appreciate her very much.
